Very cool, Dirk. Have you made a full suit of armour, or is this just the beginning?

I worked with a lady who used to sit and make chain mail just for fun, like an old lady knitting an afghan blanket. She said it was relaxing.

A full harness of plate? No...
I have made numerous maille hauberks and coifs. A scaled leather hauberk that I used to fight in, with composite leather and steel vambrace/rerebrace with steel elbows. Steel cuisses with copfs and demi greaves.

The hardest part of the metal work is the acutall cutting out of the pattern. I need to get a plasma cutter, or at the very least, some Beverly Shears. My stepfather has a plasma cutter and I should just go for a visit some year and spend a week cutting patterns...
