In tonight's episode, Callie wonders if Melissa George's character, the new interrn 'Sadie', is flirting with her. So she asks Mark Sloan about the signs that she's getting. I personally rather see Callie with Sadie rather than Erica Hahn.
Derek is heartbroken losing a young girl in surgery. New Dr. Dixon (who has problems with discretion and empathy due to her Asperger's Syndrome) considers this to be a great opportunity for Organ Harvesting. Shepherd later confides to Meredith that he's sick of death - he needs to win/succeed. They seem out-of-sync as a couple.
Cristina is awarded the first solo surgery among the residents, but must then give it up and choose her replacement. Alex Karev makes the case that he is the most worthy; Meredith assumes that her friendship with Yang will make her the obvious choice; Izzie assumes that she'll never get picked; George hopes that he'll get chosen, but doesn't apply any pressure to get picked.
Mark performs a cutting edge procedure to restore a mute patient's ability to speak and impresses Bailey & Lexie in the process.
Izzie is still 'interacting' with the ghost of her fiance, Denny. She says that she's having the best sex in her life.
George confides to Alex that something seems to be wrong with Izzie, but she won't confide with him anymore.
After Karev is selected as the first Resident to do a solo surgery, he goes to Izzie and tells her that she makes him a better man and a better doctor. She's surprised that he loves her. She imagines that Denny is still in her bed. Denny says that he's getting annoyed with Alex.
Meredith accuses Cristina of letting their fight become a personal grudge since she selected Karev over her. Yang says that she picked the most qualified person just as Meredith said to do, and that it was Meredith who is taking things personally.
Dr. Owen Hunt sees that Cristina is all stressed out so he takes her to a secret place to relax and revitalise, the Boiler Room (?). Blasts of air coming from the floor is his 'treatment'. Of course they have to kiss afterwards.
Lexie Grey comes on to Mark Sloan and he finds it difficult to reject her, despite his promise to Derek. Once she started removing her clothes, his resistance failed.
