Hey everyone, I love Grey's Anatomy, but I'm confused with the whole intern/attending/resident thing. If someone could tell me the difference between them, I would greatly appreciate it.
there's a site that explains intern, resident, attending and has a bunch of other job descriptions. basically an intern is a first year resident. residency allows the doctors to focus in a specific area, such as surgery. an attending is someone who has already completed their residency and now practices medicine focusing on their specialty learned during residency.
