We get what Jennifer Garner is trying to do at the Bourne Ultimatum premiere in this classic Jackie O-style dress, but it doesn't work—on her, at least. Jen's a natural beauty, and this classic cocktail frock demands a stiffly sprayed 'do and a lot more makeup than she'd ever be able to pull off. Don't beat yourself up, Mrs. Affleck, just slip into the more free-flowing—and flattering—clothes that we all admire.
It's not our thing—puffy pirate sleeves and a ridiculously high-waisted skirt—but as Jennifer Garner always seems to have such a hard time finding fashion that flatters, it's nice to see her looking so happy and confident at a Tokyo press conference for her new movie, The Kingdom. And we can't argue with fit (check out those sexy legs) or her full, shiny mane. So, we're gonna go with thumbs up on this one.
It's sultry, it's elegant, it's a whole new Jennifer Garner. The actress arrives at the Kingdom premiere draped in a flirty red number that only hints at the curves going on underneath—which makes her all the more tantalizing. Of course, it could also be the $250,000 worth of Cartier gold and diamond gems...Whatever, we're sold on the look!
Little Violet must be so excited that her mom, Jennifer Garner, has transformed into a fairy-tale princess in this cartoon-pink dress with enormous cap sleeves, very modest cleavage and theatrical makeup. Jen may be promoting The Kingdom in Paris, but 20 bucks says her next stop is Euro Disney.

E! may not have liked the dress, but the voters did!
See Jennifer Garner. See Jennifer Garner step out of her comfort zone. The Juno actress attends the premiere of her indie flick in a bold cocktail dress with a graphic black, white and yellow pattern. It's not our favorite frock ever, but we love that she went with the unexpected. Please do it again soon, Jen...or not. Whatever. We like the element of surprise.
Stranger Than Fiction
Give us a dressed-down Jennifer Garner squeezing melons at the farmer's market any day—not this bony lady dressed in ill-fitting black rags. There's something about walking the red carpet (this time at the National Board of Review gala) that turns Jen into a complete style stranger. Sure, her produce-stand outfit isn't going to cut it, but how about meeting us in the middle...somewhere around the kettle-corn booth?
