There's not a proportional lightning throughout the signature, and not the consistency to the bg too. There's too many depth differences, much because the use of totally different stocks like the one in the left and the other on the right.
Building bgs from stocks is a good habit, at least for me. Try blurring it out so it doesn't interfere with the focus, then apply some effects over it, I dno, filters, smudge, clip mask, all the stereotypical stuff.
It's ok I guess.
'Bout your latest one, I think you've got a lightning problem too. Read some tutorials about lightning sources, it really makes a difference.
