Michael took a seat at the table next to the woman with the mysterious chocolate brown eyes and the dimpled smile.

He was actually graced with her infamous grin as she asked, “Come here often?”

Michael shrugged, “Yes, actually.”

Sydney’s eyebrows shot up, “That’s odd.” In thought, she tried to place him. She did visit this place everyday, after all.

“Why?” Michael asked her, sighing.

“I’ve never seen you before.” Sydney told him, eyeing him carefully.

“What’s your excuse?” ‘for being here’ Michael silently added, conveying the rest of his question with his eyes.

Sydney chuckled, “Do you honestly want to know?”

Michael shook his head. After a moment of silence, he spoke up. “Listen, I have to tell you: I’m here for a reason-”

Sydney backed away slowly. “Stop! Who are you?” Forgetting her husband, again, after only minutes this time. The doctors were right. It was getting worse.

Michael sighed dejectedly. “Nobody. I’m nobody at all.”
