Urban myth has it that at a landfill site in New Mexico, Atari bulldozed and then poured cement onto an entire Xmas sales worth of unsold game cartridges

One of my friends actually bought this game. I remember playing it and thinking how frustrating it was, and vacuous.

I say let it remain buried :)

I wonder if people would pay a premium for any cartridges found. The "ET Dump" story has been a part of gaming lore for decades now and if somebody ends up finding not only the dump but also actual ET cartridges I don't know if that'd end up being just a blurb to the saga or if we'll end up seeing some high dollar auctions on eBay.

I saw the film on cable about that, it was interesting, I had the 2600, and like all video games they were difficult to finish, you could cover them up, but if you had fans of the 2600 out there, they could be worth some scratch. I they truly were in good shape, wouldn't it be a good idea to sell them for a bargain?:einstein:
