I think that they did a pretty good job following the book, what would you say?
i think they did a pretty good job! there was one thing i really didn't like that they changed, and a few things they didnt have, but overall good!

They're talking about the page Siri posted.

And how do you guys feel now that it's over? And this thread has been open for more than a year, and stayed on topic the whole (okay, most) of the time! That must be a record!!!

PJ groupies, follow the cast, they are all up coming BIG TIME actors....and from what I have heard the only thinking keeping PJ from making the Hobbit is copyright entanglements....so we can hope for that......the extended DVD (might be out as early as August this year, pure speculation, but still....) theatrical release (possible May!?!?!) we have stuff to talk about, have no fear (y)

This thread is amazing, it is huge, it deals with Lord of the Rings, the coolest people post in here and it deals with Lord of the Rings, and LOTROF's are the best in the world, and it deals with Lord of the Rings, LOVE YA GUYS!!!

i just have to add this one thing in here. I think one of the best lines have to be in the Two Towers when Sam is talking to Frodo at Osgiliath:

Frodo: I can't do this Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.

Throughout the three movies there are many amazing lines that goes deep but this one catches my eye all the time.
