i feel so deprived next to you guys.

i've only seen:

rent
miss saigon
phantom of the opera

and i enjoyed them in that order. ^_^

rent is my absolute FAVORITE. the end just makes me turn into a mushball and cry with happiness.

and miss saigon is just really poignant for me because my mother was a refugee from the vietnam war.

and phantom of the opera was great too. i just had really REALLY bad seats when i saw it. -_-
you liked rent? soo many ppl i know love love rent but its not my type of musical i guess becuase i know the story and have heard the soundtrack a million times but i have no desire to see it or even hear it(except without you!)(sorry but thats just my opinion! but yes the ending is sooo sad, i was crying listening to the music!LMAO!but im more of a romatnic comedy or serious drama musical aka millie(oo i love this musical! ^_^ )

and bridget, isnt the phantom awesome, it was my first professional musical i saw! everything is just spectacular in it!

and crazy, bad seats..that sucks! i had first row for chicago last year and many ppl think first row is great but i hated it, my neck cramped and i couldnt see all of the formations and choreography. -_- but it was still amazing i was lucky that chicago has no set so i didnt miss much but still....

lol! that sounds like me and millie!(im always singing gimme gimme or forget about the boy...but right now im really into I want to go to Hollywood from Grand Hotel!)

All my friends love rent and i've never seen it! they always sing the songs from it and it drives me nuts! :o_O:
My friends do that too! They're always carrying around the cd and stuff. Odd things. But I've saw Cats before it closed (it did close, didn't it?) and the Lion King.

yes cats did close! awhile ago, i actaully have no desire to see that!

and yes Amy MILLIE IS AMAZING!!!! sadly i know alot of dialogue and choreography from only seeing it once!(Sad to be all alone in the world!)
and i share your obsession on antonio..pant pant!hehehe! we'll see it together!

I never understood the fascination with Cats...no thank you!
But I'd like to see Rent too! and sounds like Thoroughly Modern Milly as well!

As for Oklahoma, I only saw the movie version!

Phantom of the Opera
The Beauty and The Beast
Cats

The Comedy of Errors

I want to see:
les miserable (sadly i wont)
aida
the producers
lion king
mammia mia

i love NYC so fun to jut go eat and then go see a play...

i don't speak french so i wouldn't know.

but saigon is the capital of vietnam. it's now called ho chi minh city though (because of the war).

and victoria - yeah, i loved rent. i think it was just my type of musical. a bit hard-core with rock music. :D

well all art is based upon personal views and likes and i guess it is! im not one for rock music so there ya go!lol!!!

Chanel, isnt that sad that les mis is off now?!very sad indeed!

I would have loved to see les mis! I wanted to see our schools...but silly me didn't have time.

And Beauty and the Beast...I would've like that too!

i wish i could've seen rent with the original cast though. after listening to the soundtrack over and over and OVER again, i just had the image of the original cast running through my head instead of the cast i originally saw the musical in. ^_^

Man, you're all so lucky! I've never even SEEN a Broadway play! It's insane, I know. But I would love to see them ALL!!

ooo go! see one!
see Millie while sutton is still in it!

and crazy, i know arent original casts always better?!
im so glad i saw millie with everyone original becuase now gavin creel isnt in it any more and neither is leung! but i got all of the original cast members to sign my playbill!!!(its my baby! no one touches it!)

ooooh, that's so cool!

i remember when my roommates and i were house-hunting last year, we went to go see this place and we were walking down the hallway and they had a framed poster of rent with the ENTIRE original cast's autographs! i couldn't stop staring at it and just completely forgot about the house. :D if there was any way i could've subtly stolen it, i probably would have. :D

sublty?! lol! i would have just pulled it from the wall for ya! and ran of course! or you couldve knocked them out like sydney and called for back up!

 yeah, i should've just grabbed it and run. i mean, it's not like we had much chance of getting the house anyway. :D

man, another reason i want to go to new york - to shop AND see broadway musicals!!
