In case anyone here tried this show during it's short run and found it promising, you can join others looking to find it a new home. This is probably a wasted effort, but stranger things have happened. Those involved with this program include the extremely talented David Greenwalt (Buffy, Angel, Profit) and Richard Hatem (Strange Luck, The Mothman Prophecies).
Networks now claim that they're looking for "water-cooler" shows, shows that build interest and cause people to come back week after week, yet they won't give programs that build that sort of support--character-driven, deeply plotted programs (hm, programs like Alias), time to take root and get the foothold that they need. What happened? ABC claimed that they would allow Miracles (and Veritas, for that matter) to air several weeks unmolested, but instead it was repeatedly promoted only to be pre-empted. First, understandably, it was pre-empted for war coverage (although CBS and NBC went ahead with their lineups), and later it was promoted then inexplicably pre-empted for re-runs of The Practice.
What I don't understand is why ABC wastes its money developing a program that it obviously doesn't want to put any kind of push behind. Does ABC enjoy having its shows fail?
