~He remembered it all. Talking to her in the car, then goin to the debrief. Then going to her house to get her. But no one answered the door. After he saw all of the wreckage and Will, barely alive. And her bedroom, and Francie. He never got to tell her how he felt. That he loved her. ~

~Everything he did, he thought about doing it with Syd. All of his thoughts were centered around her and only her. He went through work on autopilot. All he ever did anymore was search for her. Weiss was always worried about him. He kept saying he should move on. And everytime, he blew up at him. What right did he have to tell him to move on and forget about her?~

~There was never a second in time when he wasn't thinking about her. Memories of their time spent together were constantly replaying through his mind. Their walks in the parks, their dinners. Heck, even their missions together. It just wouldn't go away, not that he wanted it to.~

~Images of him holding her shone in his mind the most. He was always her rock, he protector, her gardian angel. How was he helping her now? She was out there somewhere and even though they told him to give up, he just couldn't. He knew she was out there somewhere. He just had to find her.~

~He had always savored their time in public together. They had had to wait so long to be able to go out in public together, and now he spent so much of his time in the places they had loved to go. And while there he always thought he would just see her walk up, or that he would wake up next to her an Santa Barbara, and this whole thing would just be a horrible nightmare.~
