Anyone see the new movie yet?

I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet, but has anyone else? I heard from a lot of people that it was good, but not as good as the original. Should have figured - nothing beats the original, huh?

I have........and it's flipping fabulous!! SUCH a good movie. I am actually going to buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Really?! It was that good? Was it as good as the original, or was it good in it's own sense like I've been hearing?

It was good in it's own sense. I really liked the twist that JJ built into the story.

Well, I confess I'd seen almost none of Star Trek before the movie, but I really enjoyed JJ's version! It did away with the entire old plot as I understand it, so we basically have a fresh start with the same beloved characters. I felt the plot was interesting and I liked the cast a lot!
