I just saw Rush Hour 3.
I was okay, but not great. It seemed formulaic. It was also too short.
The "Hu's" On First was an obvious borrow from the old Abbot & Costello routine.
Not enough Jackie Chan stunts, but since he is 53 years old now, he may have had to cut down. If age is catching up with him, I blame Chris Tucker for the several year delay in getting RH3 made.
The story I've heard was that Chris Tucker demanded big pay to get RH3 made. He isn't a major star and had no success outside of the Rush Hour movies. I've seen Jackie in interviews from several years ago saying that RH3 couldn't get made with the amount of money that Chris wanted. I have seen CT say in current interviews that he hasn't made movies in 6 years. That seems to show that he isn't in demand. I wonder if Chris got the money that he demanded or if he had to settle for what the producers wanted to pay him from the beginning?
