I've only been a Sarkney fan for the past six months or so. I think I gained a better appreciation of David Anders and his character while watching the old episodes I bought on DVD. That made me wish he had a bigger part. Plus I read some really good Sarkney fics that made the relationship believable. Though I have also read some ones that make the characters act unlike themselves to get the relationship to work. So, that's the downfall of Sarkney. You have to do it just right or it doesn't work at all.
