Schedules

Hibou

Cadet
I got my new class schedule today. I want to get it change. For some reason I signed up to continue French and start Spanish. I think I might have been on drugs that day  No, not seriously.

Anyway, here's my schedule

1 - Phys. Ed (I hate first period P.E.! Ack!) (First semester)
1 - Art 3D (Second Semester)
2 - Physics
3 - Spanish I
4 - French II (Why the HELL did they put two languages right after another?!)
5 - Lunch
6 - Algebra II
7+8 - World Studies (combo of English and Social Studies, two periods long)

I thoroughly hate my schedule and am interested in seeing if I can drop Spanish.

I didn't get an official program yet...I get it the first day of school...but I got a list of classes I will be taking next year.

Pre Calculus
AP American History
English 5
Spanish 7
Latin 3
French 3
Aerobics
Physics

College Class: Drama

I officially loathe Junior year...Physics, PreCalc, and AP American with the teacher from hell will be tons of fun. :/ Latin just becomes god awful.

My schedule was sent to me with my report card and we had till the last friday in July to change our schedules. I didn't through because i took all the easy courses to begin with. well here is mine
1st...accounting
2nd abc days i have cermics....def days i have marketing
3rd Applied Sci
4th lunch {10:30}
5/6 I have english
7/8 Ancient world
9 Encomics
10th gym ab days and def days i have business laws

****at our school we run on a cycle...that way if we have a snow day on a monday then another on another monday we don't miss the same class every time.

I don't have a schedule yet either, but I have a list of what I'm taking. ;)

Enriched Bio 12
Enriched Chem 12
Enriched English 12
Enriched Advanced Functions and Introductory to Calculus
Studies in Literature
Geometry and Discrete
Exercise Science. (it's really the science part that I look forward to, not the exercise part. ;) )

I also have a spare, which I hope is tagged along with lunch so I get double lunch. ;) That'd be a nice change.

I'm getting my schedule August 29th. ;)

I haven't gotten my schedule, I get it on eithere the first or second day of school, it depends on which day I want to register on. (we get a choice, usually new students go on the first and the returning students go on the second)

Anyways I am taking:

AP Biology
AP Physics (might just take normal physics)
Chemistry 12
Geometry and Descrete Math
Advanced Functions and Calculus
Art (my course where I can relax)

I have two spares, I could have had three but I had to take art if I want to become an Architect.

I too have to do really well in all my classes so I get into any University I want. Grade 12 is gonna be soo hard.

My schedule... It is so messed up. And it got even worse, 'cause the stupid university cancelled the Survey of World Religions that I was signed up for, which met Mondays and Weds from 1-2:15.

Mon and Wed, 2:15-3:45PM - theology special topics - Dorothy Day and the Catholic worker reform movement (or something like that)
Mon, Wed, Fri, 3-5PM - symphonic band
Mon, 5:45-8:20PM - abnormal psych
Tues and Thurs, 3:15-4:30PM - gender and communication
Tues, 5:45-8:20PM - survey of women's lit
Fri, 8AM-3:20PM - space, form, and design at the Milwaukee Institute of Art... but I'm going to drop this class. I already have to miss an hour of band on Monday and Wednesday.

It's so strange to see you have the same course names as I do but with like... AP and Advanced. :thud: so strange....

Just curious, if you're taking AP Bio, do you just shot through Bio in one year? Do you have AP Bio 11 and then AP Bio 12 or is it just like the states where you finish the science in one year?

*sigh* I know I should take Physics ... but.... no brains and no effort = poopy Physics mark. The teacher who's supposidly teaching it is a tad <_< anyways. ;)

Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-10:50am--Foundations of Human Communication

Mon, Wed, Fri 11:00-11:50am--Religions of the World

Mon, Wed, Fri 12:00-12:50pm--Freshman Honors English Seminar (I'm not a freshman, I'm a sophmore, but this class filled up quickly last spring and I wasn't able to get into it, and really wanted to take it to open up some excellent oppertunities that only honors students get)

Mon, Wed 2:00-3:15pm--Biology: Introduction to Life Sciences I

Tues 10:00-11:50am--Biology Lab

Tues, Thurs 12:30-1:45pm--International Politics and Foreign Policy (cannot wait to take this class! it should be so interesting).

So, there's my schedule for fall semester...16 hours, not bad at all.

I actually started school on the fourth. And we already have homework. And for some reason unknown to me, I enjoyed doing it and want more.

Homeroom- 9:15-9:45 Ms. Frazier
First Period- 9:50-10:40 Mr. Wagner. Newspaper.
Second Period- 10:45-11:35 Coach G PE
Third Period- 11:40-12:30 Mr. O'Keife American History
Fourth Period- 12:35-2:10 Ms. Saraceno Algebra 1 (includes lunch 1:10)
Fifth Period- 2:15-3:05 Ms. Houston Intgreted Science
Sixth Period- 3:10-4:00 Ms. Frazier M/J Lang. Arts. 3

I'm majoring in Politcal Science (international relations) with a minor in communications.

But we have to take 30 credit hours of "core classes". Everyone, no matter what they're majoring in must take a math class, a science class (2 semesters worth), english class, an art or music appreciation class, 2 pe classes, 2 history classes, and 2 humanities classes (at least I think it's 2), which would be like a religion class. I think that sounds about right.

Anyways, everyone is required to take certain classes, usually completed by the end of your sophomore year.

After biology II and my second pe class during spring semester I'll be done with my core classes and can concentrate on my major. So, that's why my schedule kind of looks like it's all over the place ^_^

Tell me about it -_- Luckily I haven't encountered too many conflicts so it shouldn't affect my graduation date.

Have to have 2 PE credits...but they can be cool. Last semester I took snowboarding. And they offer swimming, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and other fun things. So it could be worse.

And I agree with SkyGirl...core classes need to die.
