:eyebrow: There's nothing wrong with a teenager swooning over Vartan. Lots of teenagers swoon over Brad Pitt.

I swoon over Brad Pitt. Same with Vartan. 🤤 Anyways, there isn't that much of an age gap between Vaughn and Sydney(what is it now like two-three years?)

Used to think Tom Cruise was hot, but after he went Katie-crazy. i didn't really like him as much.

Actually Vaughn was born in '68 and Syd was born in '75.  So like...seven years.  lol.  Vaughn's an old man.

I thought his dad died when he was 8 and Sydney's mother left when she was 6, and didn't Irina go kill Bill shortly after that?

*Shrugs*

The alias calendar says there's a seven year difference, i always thought there was also. I don't know. They use the actors birthday's, maybe they never really cared though if the age difference didn't make sense.

That was during season 1 and 2 but then they later changed their birthdays so that they're now three years apart I think. MV and JG are only 4 years apart in real life. ;)

Idiots. lol. You can't just change when people are born.

But i remember that, like in season three Vaughn would have been like almost 40. I think it's a good idea they did change the years.

 I don't want to be 50 anymore I want to be 28! Happy Birthday!

very true. He has aged well. But then again so has Jen. ;)

Yeah, but you can tell she has a few years on her though since season 1. You can see it on both of them. Which is obviously normal, hello, it's been 4 years. lol. Jen really takes care of herself though.

Oy. Ya just can't win with this crowd. ;) ^_^ Seriously, you guys realize Vartan's nearing his 40's right?

Ok I'll stop now. :D I'll just revel in this new eye-candy... :happydance:

Leslie, age has nothing to do with how we fans feel about MV and even though we find him very handsome and sexy, which we know you don't, I think the most important attribute about Michael Vartan is that in real life, he is a genuinely nice guy who shuns the spotlight and is not out there promoting himself as in famewhoring. I find his shyness very appealing. The in-your-face, loud-mouthed type actors such as Ben Affleck, Charlie Sheen, just to name a few, repulse me. And, BTW, regarding Perilousgirl's post implying that MV is no "fun", my understanding is from people who know him personally say he is a super "fun" guy to be around and has a great sense of humor. What a pity it is that MV, the person, is judged by the "scripted" character he plays. That said, I love his character of "Vaughn."

Vaughn/Vartan cannot be replaced - end of story. Thanks katyray for saying exactly how most of us feel.

I think of that too each time people complain about him when they don't like something Vaughn has done, or how he acted a scene, but obviously he is not Vaughn and he does his scenes/work just as the directors tell him too.... or he would have been long gone!

I love MV!

I'm always amazed when fans complain about the way a character behaves since the actors are only doing what the script and the director tells them to do.

In the world of Alias where characters with ambiguous agendas and morality are the universal favorites, it's not easy being (or playing for that matter) the classic good guy, yet it's something Michael Vartan has done with style, subtlety, and substance.

In another actor's hands, the role of Michael Vaughn might not have become so important to the Alias story and its fans. Michael Vartan's work during the last four years has endeared him to the Alias community. It's a tribute to him that those fans feel that both Vartan and Vaughn are irreplacable.

👍

After reading perilousgirl's posts in this thread, it sure sounds like Vartan won't be around for Season 5.

I, like many fans, won't be watching once Vartan leaves.

Hearing the news about Vartan/Vaughn, makes me wish that Alias ended at the end of Season 4 with Syd & Vaughn driving off into the sunset on their way to Santa Barbera (without the car crash!).

Someone on the EOnline boards whose dad works for Star says a story is coming out which states that MV isn't going anywhere... who knows if its true!
