What do you think when I say Sweden?

Jag tänker på ishockey!! Eftersom finnarna har tagit över svenska ligan, åtminstone så har jag hört.
Och jag tänker också på gamla stan, Madeleine och Kent :D

I'm not so good in Swedish  I tried.

But hey Joella...you live in Gothenburg right? I think it is a nice city...my brother lives there btw ^_^

yes....Sweden will also be my home... and hey Joella you can hide inside my bag when I am going to the US next year
Ta ingen skit!- Take no s***--(hahahahahaha)-Grynet

Yes I do. I love this city, I can't help it, I just absolutely  it.

Yey I've always wanted to be transported in a bag!

Sweden makes me think of my cousin and uncle. They live in Stockholm  Then, Kent, Amy Diamond, Roxette, Abba, Astrid Lindgren, Marabou and Volvo.

And your weather is probably pretty much like ours here in Finland ;)

I love Sweden. I'm thinking about spending there a year. I still have to chose between Sweden, Finland or Norway.

As an american who has lived in all 3 countries (norway 2.5 yrs, sweden 1 yr & now finland for almost 7 yrs), I can give you some advice

Norway is by far the most beautiful of the 3 countries as far as landscapes go. The western part has beautiful fjords & mountains, etc... Oslo is too far east to see the nature I just described, but it sure is a fun town! Be warned though, Norway is without a doubt the most expensive country I've ever been to (and I travel the world for a living).

Sweden.... ahh, I love Swedish people, especially those from göteborg (that's where I lived for a year). The folks in that town are the friendliest people I've encountered in the Nordic region. That was very refreshing, considering most nordic people are known for being quite reserved and cold. Sweden is overall cheaper than Norway too (though still very expensive compared to the states) so it might be more economical to travel there. Göteborg is a really cute little town too & everything you'd wanna do & see is within walking distance to each other, or just a short tram ride away. Stockholm is also worth a visit, but you won't experience the same friendliness that Gothenburg has to offer. Not that they're,"mean" or anything, it's just gothenburgers are REALLY friendly

Finland.... voi perkele, I've lived here too long and I'm very homesick at the moment, but I'll try not to say too many horrible things about this place . It's the cheapest of the 3 countries, but again still more expensive than the states. Finns like to DRINK. Norwegians & Swedes do too, but not even close to the same level as the finns. On the weekends I have to play "puke hopscotch" on my way home from a night at the bars to avoid the puddles of vomit on the streets. The drunken finns don't know what a toilet is when they're drunk ;). Oh, but wait...... I was trying to say GOOD things about finland (sorry, lost track..... LOL). Umm..... well, if you like water there are plenty of lakes here :P . Hmm... what else.... Oh, santa claus if from finland (yeah, I didn't know that too until I moved here). Did I mention that finns like to drink? ;)

haha, no problem! When I lived in Oslo we used to take a ferry to Fredrikshavn to buy cheap beer and sausage LOL!!! Now when I live in Helsinki, we take the ferry to Tallin to get cheap stuff ;)

btw, what are you doing up so late? You have insomnia too? :woot:

I agree with that, and not because live in Gothenburg, but because when I was in Stockholm..I wasn't used to all that unfriendliness! Everyone seemed so...stressed.
So it was very nice to come home and see someone smile at me behind the counter. ;)

So that's what I love the most about my city.

Even though Stockholm is also a very beautiful city. ^_^

Whoa! Not all of us are like that. Not even here in Helsinki, even though I must admit I recognise the phenomenon you're referring to. ;) You know there's this saying: "Life is a waste of time, time is a waste of life, so get wasted all of the time and have the time of your life." I guess Finns are just putting that into practice.

Oh, santa claus if from finland (yeah, I didn't know that too until I moved here).
Of course he is. Everyone knows that...right?
