Actually, we just studied genetics in my bio class....and its not that uncommon for a child to have blue eyes, if both the parents of brown eyes...however, if they have another kid, which I am sure they will...then that baby will most likely have brown eyes....BUT, most babies have blue eyes at first, and then they change into their normal color once they get older....so that could also be the case...

It may also because newborns haven't developed a lot of melanine (sp? pigment that colours hair eyes etc in our body) a lot of newborns has light coloured eyes. Violet's eyes will turn brown because Jen's parents both have brown eyes... unless her grandmother is blue eyed... hmmm

Yea, we just learned about this is science. My teacher told us that all babies are born with blue eyes and they change to their normal color in a couple of months.
