I think this ep was amazing. Geez, the attention to detail concerning Jack's cover-up was amazing. I honestly thought that Ariana totally knew that the waiter took and replaced Jack's phone - instead, the writers do something sneakier - have the ink come off the chip!! Like I said - AMAZING - I totally did not see that coming.

I loved Dixon as a DJ - I couldn't even tell it was him until he started talking! I loved his line: "I speak 9 languages - techno isn't one of them!" Hehe How great was that? :D

I am really starting to respect Marshall - I've always adored him, but now I see that he's got a backbone as well, and he can fight against the bad guys just as well as anyone. Well, with different weapons though (PONG, for instance ;) ). And that parachute with the tandem sling is back! I didn't see that one coming, either, though I loved it: "My name is Marshall J. Flinkman and I'm here to rescue you!" ^_^

And Coffeeboy!Vaughn was hilarious! I started cracking up and couldn't stop for seriously like 10 minutes! And then after that, I felt kinda bad for him.... poor Michael, serving coffee to the woman that killed his father!! :( Man, could you imagine Kendall having to serve that woman coffee?

What else? THE SYD/FRANCIE SCENE!!! I love the way Syd just blurted it out: "I have a crush on a guy from work!" Hehe I was grinning like a fool....

Will, what a good guy - I haven't been a huge fan of him, but this season, I'm impressed. He really sees what's going on between Syd/Vaughn; he knows he can't have her, so he's looking out for Syd's best interests (getting them out of the bar, shaking V into reality). I am curious to see how he does as a part of the CIA...

And, lastly, I have to say that I am so incredibly PYSCHED for the next eppy! I loved the scene in the parking garage - "Dad, get in!" Hmmmm, have we see something similar to that before.....? :D And the new outfit - very... interesting... yes, interesting... And a date with Vaughn. Did you see him grinning? hehe *sigh* Could this show be any better?

Wow, that was so incredibly long! Sorry, but I LOVE ALIAS!!!!

~Laura :cat:
I agree with every single thing you say.

yeah, we've seen something similar. "Sydney! Get in!!"

" Daddy?"

I'll always love that scene no matter how old it is.

The writers seemed to throw in some comedy in this ep. I loved it!

I never noticed the thong until I saw the pic on the first page.

AHE was a awesome episode all around. (y) Marshall was very dashhing trying to be the hero. I think he as a cute personality  Now as for that Steven guy Jack killed (y) Steven totally deserved getting killed. He was way the hell to nosy and always pissed Vaughn off. The Fancie and Syd scene last night I thought was so adorable. The way syd was talking about micheal :D I couldn't help but laugh when Will tried to threaten Vaughn about Syd. I mean Will is a total sweetie but he really needs to give up on him and Syd getting together.

that ep was worth the wait through the Sound of Music from last week.  I HATE that movie.
Yeah, I know what you mean. We had an album of it growing up, and my sister used to play it all the time. I got sick of the music. I tuned in for a little bit of it, though, and it wasn't so bad because I imagined how it would be with Victor Garber as the father . . . shows that I'm getting to be way too much of a fan--because I know Mr Garber's been a lead on Broadway for years, every time I think about a musical now I think about whether it has a part for him in it! Shutting up now . . .

I think some folks had a little letdown because they had to wait so long. (And about the "soap opera"--that's always been an element: mother betrays father, dies, only to show up alive 20 years later? Hello! It's the skill with which it's handled that makes it transcend simple soap.)

I think the ep definitely had its strong points (the will and vaughn scene, jack and ariana and of course marshall :D ) but somehow it seemed like something was lacking - i cant really pinpoint it. Its possibly because i'm so used to this show being all about action and as far as that nothing really happened until the very end.
The whole convo with francie seemed akwardly placed and as if the writers were like "ok, shes got to admit it sometime, why not do it now?" It just didn't seem like a wise course of action for someone who has kept one part of her life completely seperate from the other one and had to live with negative ramifications every single time she didn't succeed in doing so. This of course didn't take away from the fact that it was fun to hear
All in all i do believe it left good groundwork for the next episode but that it wasn't all that great in itself.
~
p.s. is it just me or does anyone else expect bolts of lightning to come out of jack's eyes and kill ariana (am i even spelling that right????) every time they talk....hmmmmmmmm.

p.s.s.
To be honest, I thought that Marshall would break down and give up the program; it was a huge boost for his character to have him overcome his fear and torture to score one for the 'good guys' (in his eyes, that is SD-6, but he also inadvertently saved the CIA by not allowing S&G to get the program).
totally and completely agree. :D

He's gonna be in the Music Man with Matthew Broderick. I think that's gonna air on ABC in March.

When did Syd call him Michael? Or was that when she was describing him to Francie? Because if she did it to his face, I don't remember it.

~Me :angel2:

It was when she was describing him to francie and she asked what his name was.

I must say again: it was soooo cute!

Take it for what it is, and just sit back and enjoy the show....you cant really enjoy it if you are analyzing it the whole time....(trying out for Tippins job eh??)
Wait a minute, that is my job!

Seriously, I sit back and enjoy it, then I take my recording and analyze it for my review. The analysis is half the fun (for me, anyway)!

Hey people, the whole Francie thing was just to show that Sydney is trying to open up to her. Since she can't tell Francie ANYTHING that is truthful, she took the opportunity to tell her something TRUE! She blurted it out because she was EMBARASSED... I mean, she hasn't told this girl ANYTHING about her love-life, like when she told Francie about the "I had sex with somebody" speech. She blurted it out. So it's only natural to feel kind of embarassed to a stranger...

Btw, crash, you are spelling Ariana right. I know, it's a weird name.

ALL the Marshall scenes were CLASSIC!! They are so going to be remembered. He's just such a comical guy. I LOVE HIM!

I was also like, whoa, who's THAT? why do they keep showing him... And then it was Dixon, and I was like GO DIXON, YOU LOOK SO COOL!!!!

And about the so called "lack of plotline", WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING AOBUT? It was so full of plot that it almost exploded. I totally agree with freelancer638, with all the stuff she wrote, because I'm too lazy to actually write it myself....lol

It was right up there with what I love about Alias. It was quick, fast paced, full of humor, drama, and fun! This and the last episode are just so cool, it makes me proud.

I know, isn't it weird how when your favorite shows are good, you feel like you made them yourself? It's like, "Ahh..Look at my little show! Mommy's so proud of you!" Lol.

Ah, I see how the comments got a little out of synch.

This was a great episode, but I felt it was more of a "bridge" episode from Marshall being tortured and what's going to happen in future episodes. The one thing I noticed, though, is that a CIA team didn't get blown up by the C4 looking for Marshall, a team from MI5, which is the British FBI got blown up.
