Sydney kept the ignition running. She had to know what was going on. Right now her feelings were jambled especially about Vaughn. She was just a block away from Vaughn's place. Her mind raced...'Should i go through with this' she thought. 'Why should i bother?' I should make him come to me. The hell with Michael Vaughn, if he didn't care enough either did she!' She put the car in reverse but something stopped her. She couldn't leave now. She had to talk to him.
Moments later~
Sydney sat in front of Vaughn's house, her heart was beating so fast she was sure it would pop out. She finally mangaged the courage to get out of the car. She began walking up the sidewalk towards his house she abruptly stopped. She saw Vaughn through the window. Goosebumps ran down her spinal cord as Vaughn ran his hand through his hair. She was in pure delight, awed at his good looks. Sydney never wanted this moment to end, just watching him made her feel weak in the knees. Vaughn exited the room and came back with one of the persons' Sydney despised, Alice. Vaughn embraced Alice and held up his champagne. Sydney couldn't make out the words. All she could see was a giggling Alice all over her man. (not her man but she sure does wish) Vaughn planted a kiss right on her lips. She stood in disbelief and shock. Clearly she had misread some signals at work. Sydney began feeling uncomfortable she started backing away slowly when she tripped all of the sudden. Sydney winced at the pain in her right leg, she probably just twisted her ankle. she began getting up quickly and hobbling toward her car. It was too late. Alice had seen her. Before she knew it Alice was outside helping her to her feet.
"My goodness are you alright?' Alice said.
"Yea i'm fine," Sydney said completely embarrassed.
"It's uhh Rita right? From the bureau?"
"Yes..."
"I'm Alice remember?"
How could Sydney forget her. She had been jealous of her for so long.
"Of course," she said smiling.
"Ahh Alice could you go get us some coffee. We have just a little bit of work to discuss."
"Sure honey." she said kissing him on the cheek. Vaughn sense Sydney's discomfort level and high emotions.
"Syd, what in the hell are you doing here? You know we could get compromised, if SD6 found out you were..."
Sydney cut him off. "You have no idea do you?"
"What are you talking about?" he said questioningly.
Sydney pulled out a manila folder and handed to him.
"Here, read this." she said this coldly.
Vaughn scanned it briefly, his eyes widened.
"You mean..."
