Well, anyways, that's just too weird for Alias (not that Rambaldi isn't weird enough himself)
well.. thats my theory and ill stand by it
yeah, and plus, Alias is just weird, so it COULD be possible...
yeah if syd can disappear for two years why cant Irina be god?
yeah, and that would explain all the weird things, like how she knew that Sydney was the Prophecy Girl.
yeah! i mean how better to know than if she made her that? she is her daughter, maybe she wanted to protect her
wait, so if she's god, and Sydney is her daughter, then doesn't that make her a goddess? and still yet, if Sydney is the Prophecy Child, then isn't Irina the prophecy mother? Maybe she has a role in the prohecy too...
ooo so Syd is the goddess! we knew that already... ;)

and yeah, ill bet irina has a big part to play
but wait, then Jack might have something to do with it too, since he IS sydney's father, so...would that make him a god by law?

LMAO!! We have such a weird theory...

Well, I certainly hope Irina isn't a god (or Rambaldi, for that matter). 1) If Irina is a god (or god), then
it removes some of her humanity (something that is essential to the character). 2) If she is god, she isn't a
very compassionate one--look at the emotional devastation she has wrought. 3) She ought to make things
go her way more often, don'cha think?

Rambaldi wasn't God, he was a genius who believed that man could "come to know God" through science.
This belief has a very gnostic aspect, which makes it unsurprising indeed that he would be attacked as a
heretic.

nobody is a God except God....JJ ain't that crazy!!
I agree with Milo on that. One other question to ponder --- has anyone ever wondered if maybe Sydney is actually Irina's clone? That would explain a lot. Like why Sloane is so obssessed with Sydney and why Jack didn't want Syd in the spy business. It might even explain why Jack performed Operation: Christmas on Syd (to make Irina's clone a better spy?) I know it sounds wacky but you gotta admit that anything could happen.

For the same reason Jack wanted Sydney both out of the spy business and to make her a better spy?
Personally, I think that Jack was forced into performing the Operation Christmas protocol on Sydney,
probably because he was about to go to prison and needed to provide (protection, something) for
Sydney. Plus the protocol gives Sydney extra ability to care for herself in his absence. (He might have
had reason to believe he might never return . . .)

As far as Sydney as Irina's clone, I suppose it's possible, but I don't see any reason for it right now.
How does it explain Sloane's obsession with Sydney? I don't think Jack would want his daughter in
the spy business no matter what her background was--and particularly considering who her mother
is--whether clone or not.
;)

Why would he go to prison? (I haven't finished reading The Flour Moth)

And did they even have cloning technology in the '70s?

Sloane told Sydney that Jack had been imprisoned for six months following Irina's disappearance upon
suspicion that he had collaborated with his wife (Sydney being told her father was "on business"). I
have a feeling that he wasn't lying to her about that. The episode would be either "Masquerade" or
"Snowman."

And, no, they didn't have cloning technology per se, but if we're bringing Rambaldi's technology into the
picture, almost anything goes.
