Should the Matrix Reloaded Have Been Rated R?

I read in Entertainment Weekly, that the movie in the U.S.A. is R. It has Nuditity, Strong Violence, Frightening Scenes, and some Language.

Although, I just saw it today and it was a pretty good movie.

It was rated R but shouldn't have been ... I saw the movie last night, and yes, there are some swearing, some violent scenes and all, but nothing wrong with that ... it was a great movie and I loved every minute of it ...

About the sex-scene ... it was very well done, very sensual and it wasn't that explicit ... and the song they played was awesome ...

Alias_gay, I have to agree. The only thing I think that even came near to an R rating was the sex scene, but it was very tastefully done I thought. Not nearly as bad as the sexual connotations in some PG-13 movies!

Do you mean the sex scene? I'm not saying that it was absolutely necessary for it to be there, but it did do a lot to help show how Trinity and Neo's relationship had advanced. It was not graphic and was filmed in a very tasteful manner, I don't think it's at all inappropriate (I know devout Catholic 12 year old who saw this movie and was not in the least bit offended by it). I think you should see the movie, it doesn't deserve its rating and is truly an amazing spectacle.

I don't know, but I don't judge movies by their rating. I personally don't agree with the rating system anyway, so...

I haven't seen Matrix Reloaded yet, but thanks for your review.
