Escape From Reality

Escape From Reality
Although we are apart
Our lives are forever intertwined
Every time that I see you
My mending heart breaks once again
Whenever you are near me
My broken soul aches with sorrow
I fool you with my brave smile
Just to make you feel at ease
And we lie to world
Saying that we are still friends
Those were your words; not mine
Everyday, we are briefly reunited
Even though it is all pretend
For one moment, you are mine again
I get lost in your penetrating eyes
And taste your sweet soft lips
Suddenly, it’s ripped away from me
Everything disappears
Fantasy fades back into reality
A reality, where we are strangers
Without a care, you leave me
And go home to your new love
I return to an empty home
Every night I lie alone
I awake to a new day
But not to your beautiful face
I can’t help but to smile
When we return to the fantasy
Where you belong to me

That was awesome
*okay, awesomes getting lame, but I cant think of another word to describe that*
maybe 'perfect'?
Its very....real...(?)...no...well yeah its real, buts theres like a word Im looking for....normal (?)
I mean someone has to feel something along those lines at least once...or else theyd be a very lucky person...
And you can blame my vocabulary for not being able to think of a better word, but it almost seems natural...
Great job-
Ash

Thanks for replying hun! Well, the only way I can relate to this poem is being around someone that you still care for. Other than that I pretended to be a certain someone and just wrote down how he/she must have felt ebing around a person that he/she still loves but is trying to get over.
