Throughly Modern Millie

and Vaughn's Girl1 you saw the producers w/ nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick - OMG Ur SOOOOO Lucky!
*thud* oh, I want to see Wicked so badly..hopefully I'll be able to before Kristin Chenoweth leaves the cast (July 18 :( )
Rent is another I'd like to see..but it's coming to Boston soon..as is Mamma Mia! so I'd like to be able to see those

42nd Street and Millie are both closing at the end of this summer though...I hope you get to see them though

I have seen:
The King and I
Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk
The Wizard of Oz
Annie
Peter Pan
Cats
Stomp
The Phantom of the Opera
The Lion King
Rent
Oliver

I Want To See:
WICKED - Desperatly!
Chicago
Beauty and the Beast
Hairspray
Les Miserables
Miss Saigon

Hey! I'm going to New York soon... What current show do you all suggest?? (That I will be able to get tix to) I'm thinking about Chicago.

The only Broadway show I've seen is Kiss Me Kate. I've seen several others in regional theaters....

I want to see Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and Rent.
who did you see as millie?!
becuase i have seen it twice, once with sutton second time with susan egan and sorry susan but she didnt even come near not even close to sutton!

Padme, chicago is good but if you have seen the film, its completly different. more dark black comedy and not as flashy. in my opinion better, depending on the leads you get. I saw it a couple years before teh movie came out and the leads were nobodys but were amazing!

you might want to try caroline or change(i loved it but warning: no words, all music. and quite different. if you love drama and music, its very good!)

boy from oz, musical is not that great but hugh jackman is simply fabulous! do not pass up seeing him. he just exudes performer and has you drooling in seconds and then standing in awe of his talent. phantom is a classic so you might want to see that.

then there is beauty and the beast but i am stil wary of christie carlson from disney. still makes me cringe seeing that billboard when im there.

producers. without the main two it isnt that great but now hunter foster is in it, so it might be worth seeing. i just love hunter and would love to see him in it but unfortunatly i dont live near the city. but he is very good!

aida is closing, so is 42nd street and both are icons so you might want to get to those before they close. and aida is gaining adam pascal, the original cast member, so that might be a good one to see. both are great shows!

hope i helped, anymore questions just ask me! i have seen everything except wicked which im going to see this week!

Hey cool I saw Millie on B'Way too! :woot: with Sutton Foster, of course... She is incredible. The dancing... breathtaking! lol Everyone in my group was in love with the guy who plays her eventual b/f... I forget the name (it was a long time ago!)... I went with my Summer Theater group (we did West Side Story that summer).

Only other show I've seen on B'way itself was the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular or whatever it's called... and I saw Fosse in New York off-B'way. That show, let me tell you, has the best dancing and dancing music I have EVER heard/seen in a musical. I definitely recommend it. But yeah, my faves are still Evita and Les Mis (at least to be in... ^_^ my dream!)

of course sutton is amazing! and the guy is jimmy in the musical but his real name is gavin creel! fabulous singer!

did you know sutton might be in little women, they are still negotiating! i really hope she signs on to it though! i would lvoe to see her play jo march.

and yes i have seen fosse! my sis and i are bob fosse fanatics, more her than me! but yes i loved fosse, not my favorite but not the worst! but moving out is a better dance musical! it has a story line whereas fosse doesnt!

That's it. Gavin Creel. Thanks! Yeah, they were obsessed with him lol. Dorks. :P

I didn't know that -- cool (ok, this shows my ignorance... I didn't even know there was a Little Women musical! :lol:smiley:. I wish I could have seen her as Eponine, tho. :( I bet she was SOOO good. *sigh*

Oh, see, I love the cabaret style of Fosse, and that it's basically just a tribute to Fosse himself. I haven't seen Movin Out tho, so I can't judge that one.

Hopefully you got to go see Wicked!!!!! because sadly :( Kristin is leaving the show today!!!!!!!!

i really wanted to go because all of the glitters(KC's fanclub) are going and are blowing bubbles at the curtain call! and it would be just a wonderful performance to see. Esepcially since she is just AMAZING as Galinda(with a ga...or Glinda..the ga is silent!)

but still if you go before jan. 2nd you will be able to see Idina Menzel as Elphaba(who i see is on you av!)

Hey! I just got back from NYC, and I got to see Fiddler on the Roof starring Alfred Molina while I was there!! He was fabulous, as was the rest of the cast. The set was amazing too! I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've been wanting to see Avenue Q since spring! I heard the soundtrack played in the dressing room during my school's production of How To Succeed In Business W/O Really Trying. I love the songs!

Avenue Q was amazing! quite a simple idea but some of the songs were genius......like "the internet is for porn", "everyone's a little bit racist", "what do you do with a BA in English/It sucks to be me".

i saw it while on holiday with my dad and brought the cd and music back to australia and my family and friends loved it.....so so funny!

i agree! Avenue Q is brillant but yes it is new and yes unique and yes witty and just pure comic gem, however i still can not see how it beat Wicked with its amazing chord structure, sets, lyrics, not to mention the two best leads anyone could possibly imagine together on the same stage!

But i especially loved everyone's a little bit racist and scheudenfraude(sp!)! and john tartaglia is so funny!
