I was starting to think we'd never see S2 but it's officially dropping February 8, 2024. S1 had some good action scenes and had nice references to the games; a bit slow at times but still enjoyable.

I was starting to wonder why I haven't seen much talk about Halo S2 until I started watching it and remembered that Paramount+ doesn't drop the whole season at once and you need to wait every week for each new episode.

Aaaggggghhhhh! 😠

Was going to watch, but the Halo crowd are up in arms about it, so guess it's another cheap clone trying to live off a well known gaming title.

It's not as much as it's a cheap clone, you can tell Paramount+ invested quite a bit in the production, as much as it is, or was, way to slow of a story line for a series based on a franchise like Halo. Personally I'm just a casual Halo game player and not a die-hard gamer, I don't even bother trying the PvP and just play the single-player campaigns, but even I was wondering "When do we get to the fighting?" watching it.

They take so long going into the backstory of the characters, and tangent side stories, that when a battle scene does take place that it feels way to short and almost as a filler to the point where it's less of an "Action" series and more of a "Drama" series. And even that wouldn't have been so bad, a military drama set in the world of Halo, but the story lines themselves are so drawn out and relatively straightforward that it actually became a bit boring to watch.
