I know you haven't seen us around these forums much lately, to put it frankly, after waiting FOREVER for that April update, I got tired of checking here for news (any word on HJ Beta yet?) and since then we've had our group testing LOTRO. Since launch, we are up to 110 characters guilded in-game on the Firefoot server and things are going really well. I am not sure how many of you are playing LOTRO currently, but it's a fun game that has launched fairly successfully. The first batch of free content is coming in tomorrow (yay!) and things are going pretty well. I'm not sure of the game's longevity factor, but if the Devs continue to add free content like this I think it will keep us busy for at least a year.
Anyway, we've got a well balanced group of people with very diverse backgrounds playing in our kinship. We've got people of all level ranges, lots of lowbies, lots of midbies, few highbies and folks of all class-types and crafting vocations. We are also starting to write our character biographies and getting into the RP side of things. Our chief focus is on fun, socialising, and working together. We may do raiding later on it is not a priority and will most likely only be done for completing quests.
Currently we are piecing together our website for our LOTRO group (since we've just started finalising our RP background for the kinship) and of course we still use our forums over at Forums - TCO Network Our recruitment procedure for this group (remember, TCO is a multi-game guild that also has social members who don't play any games and just hang out on our forums) is that we kin up with people for a month in-game, get them registered on our public forums, then after that month we send an application and evaluate member quality and the LOTRO Officers and the TCO Council approve/disapprove it, then you get full TCO forum access and are an official member. We're using this procedure to weed out the kids in LOTRO coming from games where they get things handed to them all the time, we have high standards and expectations of our members and use the month long probationary period to make sure we're a great fit for the recruit and the recruit is a great fit for us.
So if you're interested, check us out, I'd love to game with some faces from HH before HJ comes out (cause nobody knows when that will be ) and you guys are awesome
