Depends. When it comes to God, I'm a full-fledged optimist. He can't let you down, He don't snow ya, and He's the Bomb.

When it comes to people, I'm a realist. I know I'll let ya down (even though I'll try NOT to), and folks (even those in authority, like the church, teachers, and parents) can slip up.

It depends in general. If the glass is having something put into it, it's half full. If something is being taken out of the glass, it's half empty.
