“What, did you not get along with Grandpa or something?” Janet asked him curiously.
“Jack was not my biggest fan” Vaughn laughed.
“Why, were you a terrorist or something?” Janet laughed.
Vaughn just looked at Sydney.
“She knows” Sydney smiled.
“No, I was an Agent” Vaughn smiled.
“interesting…” Janet laughed.
“In fact, I was your mom’s handler…Jack never thought I deserved her…he was probably right” Vaughn laughed.
“Shut your mouth Vaughn” Sydney told him with a wink.
“I think it’s safe to say he probably liked you more than he likes Jayson” Janet informed him.
“I highly doubt that” Vaughn told her.
“No…she’s serious…dad hates Jayson” Sydney confessed.
“So I’m beating one guy out on the ladder of the loves of Sydney Bristow” Vaughn smiled.
“I guess so” Sydney smiled.
“Can we get some food?” Janet asked with a smile.
“yeah, sure” Sydney smiled. “what do you want?”
“Chinese, of course” Janet smiled.
“Just like your father” Sydney winked at Vaughn who just smiled and shook his head slightly.
“So, when’s your birthday?” Vaughn asked her.
“October 1st” Janet smiled at him.
“Are you serious?” Vaughn asked her.
“Yeah, should I be?” Janet asked him.
“yeah…its just…that’s the day your mom and I met” Vaughn smiled as Sydney ordered the Chinese.
Chapter 15
“Food will be here in 20 minutes” Sydney smiled as she re-entered the living room.
“Great! I am SO hungry” Janet smiled.
“Good, I ordered enough to feed a small army” Sydney smiled.
“So, Michael, do you know Uncle Eric?” Janet asked him.
“Eric Weiss?”
“that’s him”
“Eric is probably my oldest friend in the world. So yes, I know him quite well” Vaughn smiled. “How is Weiss…gotten a girlfriend since I’ve been gone?”
“He’s had a few off and on things…he’s still Weiss” Sydney laughed.
“Poor guy” Vaughn smiled.
“So…um…where are you staying Michael?” Janet asked him with a slight amount of hope in her eyes.
Vaughn’s eyes darted to Sydney’s.
“Um…I’m not sure at this point…I don’t exactly have a home so…who knows” Vaughn shrugged.
“Well…you could stay here” Janet suggested.
“Um…Syd?” Vaughn sighed.
“She’s right Vaughn, you need a place to stay, why not stay here?” Sydney smiled.
“If your sure…um…that’d be great” Vaughn mumbled.
“Then it’s settled, your staying here!” Janet smiled excitedly. “I’ll go get the guest room ready, I’m pretty sure I heard Jayse leave a while ago”
Janet smiled and ran back upstairs to get the room ready.
“She’s happy you’re here” Sydney smiled.
“I’m happy to be here” Vaughn smiled back.
“Good” Sydney smiled before leaning in to kiss him gently.
He kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her neck and pulled her closer to him, they didn’t hear the footsteps coming down the stairs.
“Oh my god! Eeeew!!” Janet squealed before running back up the stairs.
Sydney and Vaughn just looked at each other before bursting out laughing.
