Required Reading for School

We had to read Romeo and Juliet earlier this year. It was so difficult to understand. Then after reading the book I watched the movie with Leonardo DeCaprio, I hate that movie because they talk in the old language the whole movie. I could only watch a half hour of it before I got a headache.

We also had to read Huckleberry Finn, that book is hard to read too. Just for the fact that the dialect is so hard to understand. I got frustrated and went online to look for summaries to understand the book.

Ohh... so my women's lit class for fall semester. Here's my book list...

Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston
Jane Eyre - Bronte (which I've read twice already... :angelic: )
A Good Man is Hard To Find - Flannery O'Connor (I vaguely remember reading one of the short stories in here)
A Room of One's Own - Virginia Woolf
The Yellow Wallpaper - Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Wide Sargasso Sea - Jean Rhys
Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit - Jeanette Winterson
Jasmine - Bharati Mukherjee
A Chorus For Peace, selected poetry - Marilyn Arnold (editor)

It's going to be a fun-filled semester.
