we've needed some new sarkney smut! so here is our challenge! dita, amy lynn, meg (fivetoesonefoot) and i are the judges for the sarkney smut challenge. here are the rules:

starting: today 28 june 2004
ending: 11:59 on 27 july 2004 actually 11:59 14 aug 2004 central time
maximum word count: 15,000 words
must include all of the following:
a keychain (and not just "he grabbed the keychain and headed for the car" something substantial please
a scene wherein sydney and sark watch either bowling or curling
a sibling of sark's
a quote from the movie "fight club"

there is no timeline for this challenge. it can be missing two years, time at sd-6, a complete alternate universe, whatever. just have fun! either pm one of the judges or post any questions you have!!

m-c!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woot: I LURRRVE this challenge!!! And I'm glad there's a long time to do it, coz lately I have been... er... occupied. :thinking: :P Anywho, YESS. And I am OBSESSED with the Fight Club quote part. :sly: I may have to go FC crazy... :lol:

I'm not very good at smut, but hey, at least I'll have fun trying! :D And I'm sure everyone else's results will ROCK! :D Wooot!

you crack me up les. and i agree, the fight club quotes should be sweet! i imbd-ed it and read through all of them. v. cool i must say.

aww come on, i'm sure you can write smut. it's not that hard, you just gotta be in the right mood.

AS someone who has never seen fight club, would it be possible for someone to post a few quotes from the movie?

i would like to enter but i can't write anything that descriptive, does it have to have descriptions?

BY THE WAY: People, people, people, PEOPLE! If you haven't seen Fight Club yet, don't go to imdb to get wuotes -- WATCH the darn thing!!! :eek: :P It will help you use the quotes much better, and also, it is one of THE best movies ever made!!!!!!! I assure you, this is true. :P ^_^

i second what les said about fight club.

amisha it will be fine. if you can't write smut (which i'm sure you can if you try) you've got to remember, it's not always the smut that makes the fic awesome. smut without a story is just porn.

:lol: Too funny!!!...that may me laugh out loud and all my co-workers turned and looked at me!! Amisha, don't worry, I know you will do a fantastic job!! And, smut is how one interputs it...leave the impression and that is just as good!!

I think my entry will have to include another telephone call scene...like the one from my fic! :lol: :smiley:

oooo, the next contest...I would like to be a judge too....I love reading all the fics that everyone writes! (y)

My story is taking over everything...I think that I might have to end mine as a cliffhanger because I already have plot ideas spinngin around this little brain of mine!! :smiley: Will I have points taken away from me ...(so to speak?!) for ending mine as a cliff hanger?

I'm at 9,931 words!!
 
obviously we would want a resolution, i mean, just to leave us hanging? but i don't think it would mean a loss of "points" whatsoever. :smiley: keep writing!

I have something in the works for this but my sister is visiting until the 16th - I hope I don't lose momentum/inspiration having to wait to finish it until she leaves :thinking: *crosses fingers*
 
Oh Girls...I have a problem...Okay...I've been working on my entry for the challenge just typing away and all of a sudden I check my word count and I'm at 3500 words. Umm that would be slightly over the limit!! :lol: So, I think what I'm going to do is remove myself from the contest and post my entry as a regular fic. But I will fully give credit where credit is due...ladies!!! And I still have all the must have items in the story too...You guys have inspired me and turned this piddly entry into a full on fic..and I even went back and re-typed my next chapter for my other fic..so thanks!!! You guys know I love all of you but..I've spent the last 2 days going over my story seeing if there was parts I could take out..and I just can't.

I can't wait to read the other entry's though!! Love you guys!! :smiley:
