Darn, didn't know there was a US Open thread, well I didn't really look so its my fault, lol.
Its unfortunate that I didn't get a chance to watch the Men's final. Federer is an awesome player, truly in a class of his own right now. I wasn't sure if Hewitt could beat him, he certainly was looking threatening by coming into the final without dropping a set all tournament.
What's funny is that Hewitt gets $750,000 for coming second and an extra $250,000 for winning the US Open series title due to his performance throughout the tournament. That's the same amount Federer received ($1,000,000) for winning the Open. So they're both "winners", but of course its about the honour of winning a Grand Slam and not the prizemoney
