Yep, I like to solo as well.
It gives me a different texture of the game when doing so and works well to add that spice of dangerous immersion when encountering the unknown.
Its also is nice to simply wander around appreciating some of the handy work of scenery and ambience. You get to the point that your character may develop a liking for a particular place/area/space in the game for their own reasons and you just like to go there. Maybe camp, fish, craft, general loitering etc.
I'd love to be able to have my character climb a fruit tree and park it on a branch with hands clasped behind their head watching the towns folk or a caravan go by in the distance... just 'cause.
Unfortunately most mmo's treat the minutia of life as so much wasted code.
