Oooh, the tension between you and Michael in your dreams! Looks like I'll have to start trying to have some Jennifer dreams. She was great on Leno tonight!
I know! Now I'll refer to her as "Puppy"! But, when I went to see "Die Another Day" (for the second time!) I feel alsleep at the end1 I have a thing for Pierece Brosman and Michael Vartan! I love spy men!

The question is, who would you rather have as your Handler? Michael or Pierce? Hehe...you're prolly saying, "don't make me choose between them!" But I'll see what you have to say about it.

I had a feeling you'd choose Michael! I had a lil bitty dream of where I met Michael and Jennifer together and I asked Michael that if he was ever sick, could I fill in for him? Hehe...They both just laughed and smiled. I'd love to have Jennifer as my handler, but I know this other girl (not you) who resembles Jennifer and you know, I like her. That's just my story. You prolly wouldn't believe my story and I hope I haven't said too much. But I know you have your problem post and I've read it and I'll just give you the advice of follow with what you want and hope things work out.

Getting back to the topic, did you like how Jack and Irina are talking more and more? Especially from last night's episode.

Yep, and that's just going to increase, now that Irina's invited Jack to "debrief" her. He wants to talk to her and he wants to trust her, yet he feels he must be realistic and distrust her for his country's sake and his sanity's sake. He said that their marriage was valid until annulled, but he didn't tell her that he was going to seek annulment, did he? He has a lot of questions that he must be dying to ask her--beginning with why he was considered to have so much "potential" for the KGB's purposes, and why Irina chose him from the available candidates.

On Irina's side, oh, how we'd love to believe her completely! I do believe she loves Sydney. And there's some evidence to believe she loves Jack. But what her plans are, good question. We have not yet seen the world from her point of view.

At least Jack's letting up a bit with the whole Irina issue. Hopefully, everything will turn out OK in the end and then they can become one big, happy family... ^_^ ^_^

I think Jack still likes Irina, and a whole lot more recently. When she first came, he did not trust her. Now that's the only problem. Did you notice the order in which he did things? First he gave her a chance to confess that she has bad intentions, then when she has nothing to confess, he says they're still married. I think he wants to open up more, but he's afraid of getting betrayed again.

It's funny, but after watching this ep, my suspicions about Irina are all firmly back in place...and I can't quite figure out why....she honestly seems to want to repent, or at least to convince everyone that she HAS repented...and what she said to Syd on the roof, about being a woman and serving her country, there is no way that she had no idea what the impact of her words would be coz she KNOWS that Syd felt exactly like that when SHE joined SD-6 (also, Syd was about the same age-19 to be exact).
And I feel like she wants Jack to debrief her now coz he's definetly gotten softer with her, his face doesn't have the same pinched look anymore, and when he admitted they were still married, she almost looked....victorious??
and it was RIGHT after that confession that she decided to let him debrief her....this just has me thinking that maybe she only wanted Syd to debrief her coz she would be the first to trust her again, being the most emotionally attached and the most naive, but now that she thinks she has Jack again (which she may very well have) she can manipulate him as well coz he's let some of his walls down....

wow....this was pretty long and prolly a pretty daunting paragraph to read...but did anyone else think this? or am i just paranoid? (too many exams will do that to you... )

ps. Why was Vaughn watching Jack and Irina interaction on his monitor?? hmmmm....very interesting.....

pps....::eek:fftopic::
I really wish 'suit and glasses' had decided to kidnap and torture Alice instead.... :xmas: I fell better now.... :angelic:

I wonder if Irina wasn't sent to gain information from Jack when they were married, but after being there so long she did fall in love with him and with having a child. Maybe she didn't want to do what she had to do, but if she didn't, Kuvae might have had the whole family killed? Am I going out too far on a limb? At any rate, I agree that there is still something between Irina and Jack and I can only hope that it get's better and better.

I think that Irina was forced somehow to leave them. (that would explain why she was in prision after she got back to Russia). Besides, she spent 10 years on a mission, I think it's too much. And I don't think the KGB would allow an agent to have an american child.

that scene creeped me out.
For my opinions on all of these questions, see my column (self-advert, here!) for Passage part 2 and The Abduction. But in a nutshell, I think we have to reserve judgment on Irina because we haven't seen things from her point of view. I think she does love Sydney, and there's evidence that she loves--or at least loved (see my column)--Jack. But that does not mean that she isn't also manipulating them or misleading them, and I don't think Jack could take that very well. He's struggling because of his unpleasant (to understate) past experience, but (to quote another series) he wants to believe.

As to Vaughn--I think he was watching Jack for very much the same reasons that Jack was watching Sydney.

Don't mind me- just a sad little uprooted J/I shipper drifting over from her encampment on the barred doorstep of sd-1, looking for a few thuds . . .

Manu, sweetie, you're everywhere! Good to see you! Have you been to our Disaster Shelter at aliasboards yet?

that scene creeped me out. :o_O:
i think its probably just a monitor, or to catch something ?? maybe if she confessed??
anyway, i think the shipperness is kind of cute... i totally agree with Sydney ROx that she couldnt have been so loving without feeling it. i think she was just very objective in the fact that she had to choose her job over jack, because sooner or later he was bound to know it.
but i like the shipperness, esp now that shes becoming a nice motherly wifely lady and shes really cool, i think it would be cool, but GRADUAL

Oh! Irina and Jack are technically still married...I wouldn't put it past 'em to get together...;) I have read many things about it...There needs to be more J/I shippy fics here...Seriously! I write one, and no one (except Charlie) Replies...Sad! *sniffles*

I love the interactions between Jack and Irina. I think maybe their relationship will heal -- but it will take a lot of time. Jack is being very cautious, and I don't blame him. The stakes are just too high. I'll love watching this play out.
