Dreaming of You

:Ph34r: I really need to not do so many stories at one time :Ph34r: I'm starting to confuse which story is with what plot :Ph34r: What's worse is I'm writing an S/V 1-parter called 'She Cries Your Name' for the Halloween entry contest and it's so sad but I haven't finished it -_-

Sydney was in a candle lit room, and Vaughn was there, holding her. Dancing under the moonlight, and it was peaceful. There was no outside noise, as if the world had stopped, and the wind was the only noise left. Sydney looked into Vaughn’s eyes and just smiled as he swept her off her feet.

Find me here
Speak to me
I want to feel you
I need to hear you

“I thought we were supposed to be going out to dinner.” Sydney whispered and giggled in Vaughn’s ear.

You are the light
That is leading me
To the place where
I find peace again

“I thought we were just having desert tonight.” Vaughn smiled and watched Sydney’s face glow. Vaughn pulled Sydney’s hair out from in front of her face, so he could see her face.

Sydney looked back at Vaughn, but he wasn’t there. Sydney looked around the room, all the lit candles had been extinguished. Sydney was alone, and in the dark. She sat in the corner of the room, tears streaming down her face. Wind blew harder into the room, and Sydney’s hair flew in her face again.

You are the strength
That keeps me walking
You are the hope
That keeps me trusting

Suddenly a hand was extended to Sydney. She looked through the darkness, but couldn’t see him. She was grabbed suddenly and as soon as she touched his hand, her white dress turned to black. She then had black gloves on her hand, it was like magic. The music that Sydney had been dancing with Vaughn, slowly faded into quiet.

“Vaughn?” Sydney pulled herself closer to the man.

“You know who I am.” The mysterious man’s voice ran a chill through Sydney’s bones. The thick accent rang through her mind. It was Sark.

“I don’t...Let me go.” Sydney said as Sark held her tighter to him. “I don’t want to be here.” Sydney yelled.

“But you are. You can lie to everyone, but yourself.” Sark smirked, and though Sydney couldn’t see him, she knew he was.

“I’m not lying to myself.” Sydney pulled away from Sark, and stood by the window sill.

“When will you wake up and realize that you are? You think of Vaughn when you want to be alone. When you need to be around someone, you think of him. Some part of your mind lingers to me.” Sark looked into Sydney’s eyes.

“Vaughn lies in my dreams. You are my nightmares.” Sydney gave him a dirty look.

“Then why am I still in your mind?” Sark laughed.

“To ruin my dreams.” Sydney walked towards the door, and Sark appeared in front of her.

“Some part of you wants me. You know that, but you’re too afraid to admit it.”

“I’m not afraid to admit my feelings.” Sydney walked closer to the door.

“You are his girl Sydney. You are his love, and he is yours. If I can say that, then it must be true.” Sark laughed.

“Why is it your always here when I’m sad?” Sydney started to cry and Sark held her. Then he let go.

“Because it is when your sad, that you are alone.” Sark smiled and backed away.

“You always disappear, even when you’re here.” Sydney saw a blinding bright light from the door and Sark left, but his voice echoed

“You tell everyone you love Vaughn but how often do you tell him? Your trying to lie to everyone but the truth haunts you. That’s why I am in your dreams, Sydney.” Sark moved away from Sydney and the door. When she opened it she saw her prince charming.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sydney! Wake up!” Vaughn was yelling at Syd. Sydney stirred and finally awoke.
“What!” Sydney yelled and jolted from bed.
“You kicked me in your sleep and started talking, having a conversation with someone..” Vaughn stared at Sydney.
“What was I saying?” Sydney turned to Vaughn.
“That your lying to everyone and that I was the one you loved.” Vaughn smiled at Sydney.
“It was just a nightmare. But I do love you.” Sydney laid back down and slept. She thought of Vaughn. She thought of what was going to happen.
“Sydney?” Vaughn suddenly asked.
“Yeah?” Sydney turned to him.
“What were you dreaming about?” Vaughn smiled.
“What I always dream of. I was dreaming of you.” Sydney smiled and went to sleep, and Vaughn smiled as he slept beside Sydney.
Chapter 4
Second Best
Sydney sat on the plane across from Nadia, who was smiling. Sydney took a sip of her Coke and turned behind her at the very back of the plane, and saw the chained and muzzled, Sark. Jack sat in fron, three rows ahead of Sydney. He had a huge grin on his face because he got to hurt Sark.
Flashback
~~~~~~~~
Sydney boarded the plane and watched as the shackled Sark was escorted by four guards. Jack stood in front of Sydney and watched her watch Sark. Nadia stood behind Sydney, awaiting her to finish her ascent up the stairs when she finally spoke, "Sydney, can you finish getting on the plane." Nadia laughed and pointed at the door.

Sydney broke out of her trance and smiled at Nadia. "Sorry about that. I was just zoning out for a moment." Sydney gave one last disgusted look at Sark when he finally came into clear view, and finished boarding the plane.

Nadia looked back and Sark who had caught up to Nadia because of Sydney zoning out. He stood right behind her, and smelled her hair. "You know you are second best right? Sydney is so much more beautiful." Sark gave a hyena laugh and watched Nadia give a sour expression.

"At least she loves me." Nadia smiled at Sark who's face dropped and he lost his color. Nadia stepped onto the plane and sat across from Sydney.

When Sark passed their seats, Nadia smiled and Sydney kept her disgusted look. Sark suddenly stopped and turned to Sydney. "Love, you look beautiful." Sark took Sydney's hair and moved it from her face and smiled. Sydney immediately backed away and punched him.

The guards grabbed Sark off the floor and hit him. Jack laughed as he watched Sark be beat down like a dog. Jack called to the guards, "Gag him please." Jack continued his laugh when they gagged him and Sark gave an angry look as he was taken to the back of the plane, into the darker area.

"I believe he likes to be hated." Nadia said laughing to Sydney, but Sydney still looked angry as she sat there, staring out of the plane window.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally the plane was reaching its destination. The bright light flashed to tell everyone on the plane to be seated and to fasten their seatbelts. Sydney looked lost in thought as Nadia was reading a book. Jack's laugh had worn off over the hours.
Sark sat at the back of the plane, still staring at Sydney. He had been staring at her ever since he had taken his seat, and Sydney knew this. She had seem him in the darkness and in the reflection of the plane window. Sark knew she saw him, and Sydney knew that, so she kept looking at him with angry and pissed off looks.
Finally the plane stopped and Nadia looked relieved. She smiled at Sydney, but Sydney did not even look at her. Nadia's face showed disappointment towards her sister when Sydney finally turned and returned the smile.
"If your wondering who you love Sydney, there isn't a question that it's Vaughn. But when it comes to something you want or desire, it's Sark. You want one more than the other, which is why you sometimes question why. Sydney, you got Vaughn back, you don't love Sark. You know that, Sydney." Nadia smiled and unfastened her seatbelt.
"You could tell all that just by looking at me. You can really read people Nadia." Sydney laughed but knew Nadia was right. "I don't want Sark though. He's always around when I'm angry or upset and he always comforts me but it revolts me to question Vaughn. Sometimes I think the reason I think of Sark in any way, is to make Vaughn angry and jealous, as some sort of revenge for him and Lauren. I just know I love Vaughn. I just wish Sark was gone." Sydney unfastened her seatbelt and stood up, walking towards her dad.
Nadia stayed seated as they brought Sark towards her. Nadia didn't want to deal with Sark right now, or his annoying comments. Still she sat and watched. Sark finally bent over towards Nadia.
"I know some part of you wants me. So stop trying to convince Sydney that she wants to be with Vaughn. Even if she does, stop pushing her along. It's not going to make me want you." Sark laughed and watched Nadia sit motionless. He finally walked away when Nadia stood.
Nadia knew a part of her wanted him, but she wouldn't be with him because of the desire he had for Sydney. Plus, Sark only looked at Nadia because she was Sydney's sister, and that upset Nadia. She was no Sydney, and Nadia knew that she was always going to be, second best.
