Chapter 25
Jack was still at the OP Center even though it was late and almost everybody had gone home. He got up from his desk and decided to see if the cafeteria was still open. Jack walked down the quiet halls of the OP Center thinking about what Vaughn had said about Helmuth. Jack walked through the open cafeteria doors and went to where they kept fresh sliced vegetables and fruits. He picked up a plastic throwaway bowl, and then he picked up several slices of lemons and limes. After Jack left the cafeteria he went to a storage room where some old ropes and handcuffs where kept. He grabbed four pairs of handcuffs and grabbed a metal chair. Jack walked over to the monitor that was hooked up to the surveillance camera that was in Helmuth's cell and made sure it was turned off. He then walked down to Helmuth's cell and waited for the guard to unlock the door. After the guard left Jack placed all the things he had brought with him on the floor while Helmuth watched him.

"Hello. Have you come to talk?" Helmuth asked holding his right hand that was hurting him.

"Well I guess you could say that." Jack stated as he moved closer to Helmuth.

Helmuth was about to say something, but stopped when Jack pushed him into the metal chair. Jack quickly handcuffed Helmuth's hands and ankles to the chair so Helmuth couldn't move. Jack picked up the bowl of sliced lemons and limes then stood in front of Helmuth with a poker face on.

"I hate it when people try to use or hurt my daughter. People that do, wish they never came across my daughter. Whenever someone does anything wrong to my daughter I get really mad and it can be very uncomfortable for that person when I'm in the same room as him or her. Today you are going to wish you never met my daughter." Jack said as he took a piece of a lime out of the bowl.

Jack held Helmuth's head back and squeezed limejuice into the cuts on his face. Helmuth started to scream out in pain. He screamed so loud that the guard came back to see what was happening.

"Jack, is everything okay here? I heard someone scream." The guard asked curiously.

"Yes everything is just fine. I'm just teaching this boy a lesson." Jack informed the guard.

"Let me guess what he did wrong. I bet he tried to do something to your daughter." The guard said with a smile.

"Yes, that's what he did and you know how much I hate it when people do that." Jack stated.

"Yes, I certainly do. I remember what you did to the last person who tried to use your daughter and I don't think he will be the same ever again. Can I watch you?" The guard said with a laugh.

"Certainly, come on in." Jack said as he let go of Helmuth's head.

The guard opened the door and stood beside Jack so he could watch the torture take place. Jack squeezed all the lime and lemon juice into all of Helmuth's cuts and then put the bowl on the floor. He then studied Helmuth's face.

"Vaughn did a pretty good job. I'm actually very proud of him, which is surprising. Helmuth tell me does your nose hurt a lot?" Jack spoke coldly.

Helmuth stayed quiet for a long time.

"You better speak up Helmuth." Guard stated with a smirk as he reached for his stun gun.

"Yes, it hurts. It's been hurting since Vaughn hit me today." Helmuth said in a shaky voice.

"That's because it's broken. I think I will have someone come down here and fix it for you tomorrow. I can tell you have some broken bones in your hand since some of the bones are about to poke through your skin. Notice I said some. I think I can still break some of your fingers." Jack stated with a flash of anger in his eyes.

"Your lucky he's going to send a person down here to fix your nose. Usually he doesn't do that." The guard said as he leaned against a wall in the cell.

Jack lifted Helmuth's hand and broke each finger on his right hand.

"That is for my daughter and also for one of the men you killed in Germany, who happened to be a good friend of mine." Jack said sternly.

After Jack was done torturing Helmuth he uncuffed him and left the cell with all the things he brought with him. He said good-bye to the guard then threw away the bowl and put the chair along with the handcuffs back into the storage room. After that he left for home.
The next day a doctor had fixed Helmuth's nose and put his hand in a cast. Helmuth looked at his hand that was in the cast and touched the cuts on his cheek. The events of yesterday were still fresh in his mind. He had learned his lesson and would not mess with Sydney again. He laid down on his hard uncomfortable bed and fell asleep from exhaustion.

"Hello. This is Melissa." Zora spoke into her cell-phone.

"Zora this is a secure line so don't worry about using your real name. I called because I have a mission for you. I know you just got a divorce, but it shouldn't affect your working ability especially since you're in a relationship with Boris. You will go to Sweden and meet a man; his name is Sark the two of you will work together on this mission. What I want the two of you to do is copy some information about a weapon that some company called, "Deltrex" is making. The rest of the information about this mission will be in a folder on the plane you will take to Sweden. This should be a very easy mission so don't screw it up! Do you understand?" Said Sloane informing Zora.

“Yes, Sir I understand it very clearly.” Zora replied back finishing the conversation.

Back at the OP Center Sydney, Vaughn, Jack, and Kendall were in a meeting.

“There’s a company in Sweden called, “Deltrex” this company has information on a weapon that they are making. I want the two of you Agent Vaughn and Sydney to go to Sweden and download the file that has the information about the weapon, and then I want you to put this bug that Marshall has made on the main server. This bug will hack into the computer system and send the C.I.A. all the information that “Deltrex” has on its computer. It will also alter and wipe out information as we get more information from them. A reason “Deltrex” wont even know that we are taking their files is because this little bug will add fake files to their computers. The two of you need to leave today, so when you leave this room you needed to go home and pack your bags.” Kendall finished speaking.

As the agents got up to leave Kendall remembered something and started to talk again.

“Oh yeah you would also needed to hook this up to the computer when your downloading the file on the weapon so it can load a different file under the original file name of the weapon.” Kendall stated as he handed a small cell-phone object to Vaughn.

Vaughn dropped Sydney off at her house then picked her back up thirty minutes later. They then drove to where a private C.I.A. plane was waiting for them. While on the plane Sydney and Vaughn read the file about the mission they were going on. After finishing reading the file Vaughn got up from where he was sitting and sat down beside Sydney who was sitting on a bench seat. Sydney moved closer to Vaughn as he pulled her closer to him. She cuddle up to him and rested her head on his shoulder as he ran his hand up and down her side.

“I love you Sydney.” Vaughn whispered in her ear before kissing her on the temple.

“I love you to Vaughn.” Sydney said as she kissed him on the corner of his lips.

Sydney fell asleep in Vaughn’s strong arms. Vaughn watched her sleep before closing his eyes and falling asleep too.

“Sark, I know you would have preferred to work with Helmuth, but he can’t come. So I decided to send Zora. If you checked your e-mail you would have noticed the picture of her I sent to you.” Sloane stated as he walked around in his office.

“Yes, I checked my e-mail and I saw her picture. She does look nice and now I know why you sent her picture to me. I guess she will do fine for this mission.” Sark stated in a monotone voice.

“Good, well I need to go. Bye.” Sloane said before hanging up.

Vaughn woke up Sydney a few minutes before they landed in Sweden. Sydney yawned and stretched as she sat up straight. After they landed Vaughn and Sydney drove to the “Deltrex” building. They entered the building with fake Ids Marshall had made for them. They quickly walked down the halls of the “Deltrex” building looking for the room that had the main computer server in it. They finally walked up to a big gray metal door that had a small window in the middle of it. Sydney looked in and saw a server that was hooked up to several computers.

“This is the room.” Sydney stated as she slowly opened the door.

Vaughn entered the room cautiously looking around making sure nobody was in there. Sydney then slipped into the room behind Vaughn. She sat down in a chair by a computer and looked for the file they were sent for.

“Vaughn I need that file alternator.” Sydney said after she found the file.

“Here you go.” Vaughn stated as he handed her the small cell-phone object.

Sydney connected it to the back of the computer and started to download the file. Vaughn stood behind her, waiting for the file to finish downloading so he could hook the bug up to the server. So it could start to alter, and wipe out information as it sent the information back to the C.I.A. As soon as the file finished downloading Vaughn walked over to the main server and stuck the bug on it where nobody could see it. Sydney and Vaughn quickly walked out of the room. As they were about to leave the building they saw Sark and Zora enter the building from a different door. They looked at Sark and the lady that came in with him for a few seconds before leaving.
As Vaughn and Sydney got back on the plane Vaughn started to think about the lady that was with Sark.

“Sydney, who do you think that lady was with Sark?” Vaughn asked.

“I have no clue, but I think I saw her before.” Sydney stated.

“Yeah, I saw her before, but I can’t remember where. The lady looked kind of familiar, but I don’t remember meeting or seeing a person with orange red hair before like that.” Vaughn stated kind of bothered by the lady’s appearance.

“Don’t worry about her right now. We got what we came for so relax.” Sydney told Vaughn with a smile.

“Your right I should relax.” Vaughn replied back.

Back at the “Deltrex” building Sark and Zora where downloading the
weapon file which had been replaced with a fake file by Sydney and Vaughn.

“How many more minutes till the file will be finished downloading?” Sark asks Zora.

“Be patient Mr. Sark it will only take one more minute.” Zora said commonly as she stared at the computer.

“It better because I can’t stand waiting for something that takes forever.” Sark scoffed.

“I just met you and I already know that your one of the most impatient person I have ever met.” Zora informed Sark.

“I’m sorry if I’m not patient enough for your liking, but this has been a long pathetic day for me.” Sark mumble.

“Lets go, it’s finished downloading.” Zora said as she quickly stood up.

“Finally, it’s about time.” Sark stated as he followed Zora out of the room.

The next day in the OP Center Marshall walked up to Sydney and Vaughn with a big smile on his face.

“Hi Sydney and Michael. You’re probably wondering why I’m smiling so much to today. Well I have really good news. Well I don’t if you would consider it good news, but…but…did I just interrupt an important conversation between the two of you. If I did I am so sorry.” Marshall kept rambling on.

“No it’s okay Marshall.” Sydney stated with a laugh.

“Okay good, well I just wanted to give you my wedding invitation. Carrie and I decided to move the wedding up to this weekend. I hope you can come. I would…I mean Carrie and I would be happy if you came.” Marshal informed Vaughn and Sydney.

“Congratulations.” Vaughn and Sydney replied happily

Sydney hugged Marshall and Vaughn shook Marshall’s hand before Marshall walked away to hand more wedding invitations out.

“I’m so happy for him.” Sydney said with a smile

“Yeah, that’s fantastic. I’m really happy for him.” Vaughn stated with a smile.

Chapter 26
Four guards walked into Helmuth’s cell followed by Kendall. The guards started to hand cuff Helmuth and then they blindfolded him so he couldn’t see.

“We are going to transfer you to a different prison today, and all I have to say is that it’s not go to be as nice as this place. If you try to escape which most likely wont happen there are agents that are allowed to shoot and kill you, so if I were you I wouldn’t try anything stupid. You will be leaving here in an hour.” Kendall spoke before turning his back on Helmuth and the guards.

Helmuth sat in his cell alone with the blindfold still on his face. He was thinking about the time he first started to work for Sloane. The first mission he went on Sloane had a chip put into Helmuth’s tooth. Sloane said that if Helmuth touched a certain part of his tooth with his tongue he could turn on the chip, which would then let Helmuth send a message in Morse code to Sloane just incase he was in trouble and needed help. Helmuth never tried to use the chip and he didn’t know if it would work, but he had to try. This could be the only way to help him get out of the C.I.A. captivity. He poked his tooth with his tongue all of a sudden he heard a faint beep. He started the message slowly, but quickened when he heard the guards coming for him. He finished the message right when the guards opened the door to his cell. The guards quickly grabbed him by the arms and jerked him up off the metal bed he was sitting on.

“It’s time to go.” One of the guards said loudly

They walked him out of the cell and down the corridor. He could hear heavy doors sliding open and close as he walked further down the corridor. He all of a sudden got an eerie feeling in his stomach, but he ignored it. He was going to be saved, unless Sloane didn’t get the message and no one came for him.

“Jack there you are! Jefferson can’t help transport Helmuth to a different prison today, so you have to take his place. I’m sorry for the short notice.” Kendall said before walking off to his office.

Jack walked over to the storage room and grabbed a bulletproof vest. He then grabbed a gun from a gun safe. He was about to walk out of the OP Center when Sydney stopped him.

“Dad, where are you going?” Sydney asked curiously.

“I have to go help transfer Helmuth to a new prison.” Jack replied as he starred at his daughter’s face.

“Oh okay, well stay safe.” Sydney whispered before hugging her father.

“Sydney, I will be turning on my com-unit before we leave. If you want you can sit in Marshall’s office since he’s hooked up to all of the com-units. You can listen to what’s happening if you want.” Jack informed his daughter before walking away.

Jack got into the lead vehicle and started the engine. He also turned on his com-unit before he forgot. He slowly pulled out of the parking lot followed by the transport vehicle and the last escort vehicle, which came last.

“Sloane said that Helmuth’s tracking device was turned on when Helmuth turned on the chip in his tooth. We believe the C.I.A. is transporting him to a different prison today, and this will be the best time to break him out of the C.I.A.’s captivity. We only have one chance to save him, so lets do it right and make sure we get him alive. By now you should know the drill and where you should be stationed. They will be coming any moment now. After I fire the first shot all of you can fire at will.” Sark said before dismissing several gunmen to their stations.

Sydney walked into Marshall’s office and sat down in an empty seat beside Marshall.

“Here you go Sydney.” Marshall said handing Sydney a set of headphones.

“Thanks Marshall.” Sydney thanked him.

“Hey Vaughn, you want one?” Marshall asked.

“Sure. Thanks.” Vaughn said as took the headphones and sat down by Sydney.

“I heard your dad had to take Jefferson’s place.” Vaughn stated as he looked at Sydney’s worried face.

“Yeah, I’m worried Vaughn. I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen.” Sydney declared.

“Don’t worry he will be okay.” Vaughn whispered to Sydney.

As soon as the first vehicle came into view Sark shot at its tire. The hidden gunmen started to shoot at the other two vehicles that came into view. Sark kept shooting at the first vehicle until one of the bullets hit one of the tires. Jack tried to control the vehicle, but he couldn’t the vehicle kept swerving out of control. Sark pulled the trigger on his gun again and took out another tire on Jack’s vehicle.

“I’ve lost…the…out…” Jack said into his com-unit.

“What your braking up?” Kendall asked.

Jack was about to reply when his vehicle flipped over and skidded to a halt.

“We are being shot at. I repeat we’re being shot at. Oh God! Jack just lost control of his vehicle.” One of the agents in the transport vehicle yelled.

“What do you me he lost control?” Kendall asked confused.

“The vehicle he’s in just flipped over. I’m not sure if anyone survived. I….” Before the agent could finish he was shot and killed.

The agents got out of the third escort vehicle and started to shoot in the directions the gunshots were coming from.
Sydney sat in silence listening to the gunfire and the voices of the screaming agents yelling orders at each other frantically.

“Someone check if Jack is okay!”

“God help us all.”

“I don’t see any movement coming from Jack’s vehicle. I…I think they’re all… dead.”

Sydney couldn’t take it anymore. She took off her headphones and walked out of the room. She walked pass agents who had no idea of what was going on. She walked passed people who were on their coffee break. She walked passed agents who were checking her out as she walked pass them. She walked until she got to her car in the parking garage. Sydney leaned against her car as she broke into tears. Vaughn ran into the parking garage looking for Sydney. As soon as he spotted her he walked up to her and put his arm around her. Sydney turned around to face Vaughn and after she did she buried her face into his jacket. Vaughn rubbed her back as he tried to comfort her. As Vaughn held Sydney in his arms he slowly lowered himself and her to the ground. Sydney laid on the ground with her head on Vaughn’s lap crying.

“I’m sorry Syd.” Vaughn whispered as Sydney kept crying.

Agents hid behind the Vehicles as the shooting kept happening. The C.I.A. agents were running out ammunition and losing more men as the time passed. Soon several gunmen came into view and ran up to the transport vehicle to free Helmuth. Before the gunmen could get into the vehicle three out seven were shot and killed. One more was shot and killed by an injured guard who was still in the vehicle. The three remaining gunmen entered the vehicle with no trouble after killing the guard. The gunmen quickly walked over to Helmuth and took off the handcuffs and the blindfold. Then they handed him a gun to use.
Jack regained consciousness and unbuckled himself from the driver’s seat. He crawled over a dead agent and propped the door open so he could get out of the vehicle. Jack pulled himself out of the wreckage and hid himself behind a bush that was off beside the road.

“Are you ready Helmuth?” A masked gunman asked.

“Yes, more than ever.” Helmuth replied with a grin.

“Let’s get out of here.” A masked gunman stated.

Jack watched as the first gunman stepped out of the transport vehicle and turned at an angle to shoot and kill a wounded agent. Before the gunman could pull the trigger on his gun a shot rang out. The gunman swayed for a few second before falling over dead. As the second and third gunmen were about to step out of the vehicle two more shots rang out. The two gunmen took a couple steps before falling face forward on the ground. Jack quickly moved behind a big old tree and waited for Helmuth to come out of the vehicle. Helmuth took three deep breaths and got his gun ready. He walked over to the open door looked outside and searched for the person who had killed the other three gunmen. Helmuth couldn’t find the shooter so he walked out of the vehicle. Jack waited for a few seconds before aiming his gun at Helmuth just to make Helmuth let his guard down for a while. Helmuth lowered his gun then raised it up again when he spotted a couple of agents hiding behind a boulder. The agents who were hiding behind the boulder were out of ammunition and had no way of protecting themselves. Jack looked in the direction Helmuth was pointing his gun and spotted the three agents. He watched as Helmuth slowly put his finger on the trigger. Jack stepped out in front of the tree and slowly walked up behind Helmuth. There was only two feet in between Helmuth and Jack, but Helmuth didn’t notice Jack was behind him. He was to busy aiming his gun at the unarmed agents.

“You are such a coward. Trying to shoot unarmed men. It just proves you are not very brave.” Jack stated his point of view.

Helmuth quickly turned around with a look of fear on his face.

“You have to shoot me before you shoot them.” Jack informed Helmuth.

Helmuth was about to pull the trigger on his gun, but he was to slow and Jack shot him two time in the chest. Blood trickled down Helmuth’s shirt and on to the paved road. Jack watch as Helmuth slowly let go of his gun and fall to the ground dead.

“Is Helmuth dead?” Sark asked a wounded gunman.

“Yes, he is.” The man replied in gasps.

“That’s a shame. Well we need to go come on.” Sark said as he and some other men walked over to a parked van.

Sark and the remaining men quickly piled into the van and drove off.

“Weiss go find Sydney and tell her Jack is going to be okay.” Kendall said as he took off his headset and headed for his office.

Weiss walked over to Sydney’s desk, but didn’t see her so he asked some agents if they saw her. Finally, an agent told Weiss that he saw her head for the parking garage. Weiss said thank you and walked away. He walked into the parking garage and looked to see if Sydney’s car was there or if she had left. To his luck he saw her car was still there and he started to walk over to it. As he reached the car he saw Sydney sitting on the floor with her head on Vaughn’s shoulder and her eyes closed.

“Hey, Kendall sent me to tell you that your father is going to be okay. He’s at the hospital right now so if you want you can go see him.” Weiss said with a small smile.

Sydney opened her eyes and jumped up, “He’s okay?”

“Yes, he’s okay. Go to the hospital and see him.” Weiss commanded her.

Vaughn took Sydney’s car keys and drove her to the hospital to see her father. As they entered the hospital they saw Jack walk into the main lobby. Sydney ran up to him and hugged him. She looked at the stitches on his forehead.

“I thought you died. Are you okay? Don’t you have to stay here?” Sydney blurted out through sobs.

“I fine Sydney. I just had a cut on my forehead and a couple bruises. I’m lucky I don’t have any broken bones. Don’t cry everything is fine.” Jack said as he hugged his daughter tightly.

Vaughn sat in a chair watching the father daughter interaction take place. He was happy that Jack was still alive and wasn’t hurt to badly. He stood up as Sydney and Jack walked his way.

“Let’s go.” Jack said as he walked to the exit.

Vaughn drove them back to the OP Center in a comfortable silence. When Jack walked into the OP Center Marshall quickly walked up to him and started to tell him how happy he was that he was okay. Before Vaughn could sit down Sydney hugged him tightly like she never wanted to let go of him.

“Thank you Vaughn for being there for me.” Sydney whispered into his ear.

“Your welcome Syd.” Vaughn replied back as he sat down and started to do his paper work.

Chapter 27
Vaughn took Sydney home after they watched Jack drive home from the OP Center. They drove home in a comfortable silence, both smiling at each other. Vaughn turned the car off after he reached Sydney’s house. They both got out of the car at the same time and slowly walked to her front door holding hands. Sydney unlocked the door and walked into her house pulling Vaughn inside and closing the door behind him. Vaughn was about to say something but stopped when his stomach growled loudly.

Sydney burst out laughing and asked him, “Are you hungry Vaughn?”

Vaughn smiled at her and shook his head yes. Sydney walked into her kitchen and started to make dinner for the two of them. Vaughn took off his jacket and hung it up in a closet that was by the front door. Then he quietly walked over to the kitchen and watched Sydney from the doorway with a smile. He watched as she chopped fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots and mixed them in a bowl making a salad. Sydney toasted some bread and started to put some cheese, a slice of tomato and four pickles on two slices of bread. She then put some sliced roast beef on top of those ingredients. Sydney spread some mustard on the other two plan slices of bread and place them each on the other bread and finished making two sandwiches.

“You still remember how to make my sandwich.” Vaughn spoke softly as he walked over to Sydney.

“I would never forget how you like your sandwich.” Sydney stated as she kissed him softly on the lips and handed him a plate with his sandwich and some salad.

They sat on her couch and watched a hockey game that was on TV and ate their dinner. Vaughn placed the dishes in the sink after they finished their dinner. He quickly ran back to couch and jumped over the side landing almost on Sydney. Sydney looked at him and started to laugh at him.

“Why did you jump over the side of the couch?” She asked curiously still looking at him in a funny way.

“I thought the game came back from commercial break, but I was wrong.” Vaughn stated with a smile.

“Typical Vaughn.” Sydney whispered.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Vaughn asked with a smile.

“Oh nothing. Nothing at all.” Sydney smiled.

“Tell me Syd. Come on tell me.” Vaughn said as he moved closer to her.

“No. I’m not going to.” Sydney said as she moved away from him and closer to the edge of the couch.

“Fine be that way.” Vaughn said as he faced the TV.

Vaughn pretended to watch the commercials on TV as Sydney studied his face. A smile grew on Vaughn’s face as he turned towards Sydney and jumped on her. She let out a scream as Vaughn started to tickle her.

“I won’t stop until you tell me what you meant.” Vaughn gave her and evil grin and started to tickle her again.

After several minutes of being tickled Sydney told Vaughn what she meant. “Okay! Okay, when I said typical Vaughn. I meant you would do anything for hockey. If you could you would date hockey, because you’re madly in love with it. You also get a little crazy when ever you’re watching hockey.”

Sydney pushed Vaughn away from her and sat up. Vaughn gave her a hurt look when she pushed him off of her. Sydney smiled at him and started to tickle him. They both started to laugh as both of them fell off the couch and landed on the floor.

“Yes, I’m in love with hockey, but I’m madly in love with you Sydney.” Vaughn stated as he pulled her closer and kissed her.

They stayed on the floor cuddled in each other’s arms and watched the rest of the game. When the game was over Vaughn looked at his watch and stood up.

“Are you going?” Sydney asked sadly.

“Yeah, it’s late.” Vaughn stated before kissing Sydney.

“Don’t go please. Please Vaughn stay with me tonight.” Sydney pleaded seductively.

“Okay I won’t go. I will stay.” Vaughn replied.

“Vaughn after work tomorrow can we go shopping for Marshall’s and Carrie’s wedding gift?” Sydney asked.

“Yes, certainly.” Vaughn whispered.

Sydney leaned closer into Vaughn and inhaled his scent, “Thank you.”

Vaughn kissed Sydney’s neck as she led him to her room. Vaughn picked her up and carried her to her bed as their kiss became more passionate.
The next day Vaughn woke up and found Sydney resting her head on his bare chest. He listened to her breath as she slept peacefully. Vaughn ran his hand down her back feeling her smooth skin under his fingers and smiled to himself. He didn’t want to get up and he certainly didn’t want to wake Sydney up, but they had to go to work and soon. Vaughn got up out of bed and lightly shook Sydney a wake.

“We need to get ready for work Syd.” Vaughn whispered softly in her ear.

“I’m so tired. I don’t want to go to work.” Sydney yawned.

“I know you’re tired, but you still have to go to work. Syd if you don’t go to work with me who am I supposed to stare at? Syd if you don’t come with me then I will have to stare at Weiss for the whole day! I would rather stare at you, please Syd come to work with me. Please, please, please.” Whined Vaughn begging Sydney to get up.
“Okay fine I will go, but I’m only going because I want you to stare at me not Weiss.” Sydney laughed as she pulled Vaughn back onto the bed so she could kiss him.

Vaughn took a shower first then made breakfast while Sydney took a shower and got ready for work.
Sydney and Vaughn were working on some paper work when Marshall walked up to them with a smile.

“Hey you two.” Marshall greeted them happily.

“Hi Marshall” Vaughn and Sydney replied back with smiles.

“Tomorrow is Saturday. I can’t believe it; this week has passed so fast. I’m so nervous about the wedding tomorrow. The two of you are coming right?” Marshall spoke as he started to rub his forehead.

“Yes we will be there.” Sydney and Vaughn answered Marshall.

“Okay well I got to go back to work.” Marshall said as he walked back to his office.

Sydney and Vaughn went back to doing their paper work. The workday went fast and before Sydney and Vaughn new it they were in the mall looking for a wedding gift for Marshall and Carrie’s wedding. They spent several hours in the mall looking for a gift and didn’t have very much luck finding anything.

“Hey wait lets go in here and look.” Sydney stated as she dragged Vaughn into the store with her.

“Wow! We should have come here first.” Vaughn stated as he looked around the place.

“No kidding.” Sydney said as she walked up to some nice fancy looking plates.

“Oh that looks nice.” Vaughn said as he looked at a plate Sydney was holding.

“Do they have a whole set?” Vaughn asked as he picked up a bowl.

“Yes we do!” A happy clerk said as he walked up to Vaughn and Sydney.

“We have the whole set over here. Is this for the two of you?” The man asked staring at the young couple.

“Oh no it’s for a friend’s wedding gift.” Sydney stated.

“Well let me tell the two of you that you both have good taste and your friend who’s getting married will love this set.” The clerk stated with a smile.

“Do you have any glasses that will match this set?” Sydney asked.

“Oh yes, right over here.” The clerk said walking over to a shelf with fancy glasses

“These glasses match the set of dishes you picked. It comes with eight regular eight-ounce glasses, eight regular four-ounce glasses, and eight wine glasses. This blue splash tint is a lovely color that matches perfectly with the dishes you picked out.” The clerk described the glasses.

“They are very nice.” Vaughn said as he looked at the design of the glasses and plates.

“We’ll take them.” Sydney stated with a smile.

“Great, I will just go get the set of glasses and dishes for you then.” The clerk said as he turned and went into a back room.

The clerk returned with the sets and gift-wrapped them for Sydney and Vaughn after they paid for the sets of dishes and glasses. After the man gift-wrapped the things they bought they each carried one gift out to their car.

“I need to go to the dry cleaners to pick up my tux for the wedding.” Vaughn said as he pulled out of the parking lot and headed for the dry cleaners.

Sydney listened to the music that was playing in Vaughn’s car and soon she feel asleep in the passenger seat. Vaughn ran his hand slowly down Sydney’s face as she slept. He watched her sleep until a lady knocked lightly on the side of his car.

“Thank you.” Vaughn said as he took his tux from the lady.

“You’re welcome. Have a nice day.” The lady said.

“You too.” Vaughn said before he drove away.

When Vaughn got to Sydney’s house he turned off his car and carried Sydney into her house. After lying Sydney on her bed and taking off her shoes he went back to his car and picked up his tux. He walked back into Sydney’s house and hung his tux in her closet then laid down by Sydney.
The next day Sydney woke up and made breakfast for Vaughn and herself. After breakfast they just relaxed and watched some TV. Later on in the afternoon they got ready for Marshall’s and Carrier’s wedding. Vaughn changed in Sydney’s room while Sydney changed in the bathroom. After thirty minutes Sydney walked out of the bathroom with a light blue summer dress on and her hair curled. Vaughn stopped fiddling with his tie and looked intently at her as she walked up to him and smiled.

“You look so beautiful.” Vaughn said as he tried to tie his tie correctly.

“Thank you. I must say you look very handsome too. Let me help you with your tie.” Sydney informed him sweetly.

“Thank you. I can never tie this correctly no matter how hard I try.” Vaughn replied back as Sydney tied his tie for him.

Vaughn walked Sydney to his car and made sure the gifts were in his car before he left for the wedding. In the church Sydney sat between Jack and Vaughn and watched as the happy couple said, “I do”. Soon the wedding was over and everyone was arriving at a fancy restaurant for the wedding reception. Vaughn picked up the wrapped gifts and walked into the restaurant with Sydney. He set the gifts down on a table then they walked over to their table and sat down. They were served salad and steak for dinner. After most of the dinner plates were taken away Marshall and Carrie stood up and cut the cake while friends and family watched them happily.

“They’re so cute together.” Sydney stated as Carrie and Marshall fed each other cake.

“Yeah they are.” Vaughn said as he put his arm around Sydney’s waist.

“We would like the bride and groom to have the first dance tonight.” Carrie’s father spoke into a microphone.

A slow song started to play as Marshall and Carrie danced in front of the on lookers. Three more songs played and more people got up and started to dance.

“Would like to dance?” Vaughn asked.

“I would love to.” Sydney answered back with a smile

Jack watched as Sydney happily danced with Vaughn. He analyzed how his daughter laughed and how close she danced to him. He knew that his daughter was in love with Vaughn and he could not stop her. He also knew that Vaughn would do anything to keep Sydney safe just like he did all his life, well almost all his life.
Jack was thinking to himself and did not notice that his cell-phone was ringing until a young man informed him about it.

“Jack Bristow.” Jack answered as he spoken into his phone.

“This is Kendall we just received information on a Rambaldi device. You need to come to the OP Center.” Kendall stated quickly.

“I’ll be there soon.” Jack answered back before leaving the wedding reception.

Chapter 28
“I think your dad was watching us.” Vaughn said as Sydney guided him to her room.

“Really, why do you think that?” Sydney asked.

“I believe he was watching us during the wedding reception because when ever I looked at him he was looking at us. He was watching us dance too.” Vaughn stated as he helped Sydney out of her dress.

“Did he have his famous don’t touch my daughter or I will kill you look?” Sydney joked as she kissed Vaughn.

“No he actually looked happy.” Vaughn replied back before he kissed her back.

“By the way where do you think he went? He left in a hurry.” Sydney spoke softly.

“Kendall probably called him.” Vaughn said as Sydney pushed him onto her bed.

Jack entered the CIA Op Center and walked over to Kendall’s office. He closed the door behind himself and took a seat across from Kendall’s desk. After Kendall finished his conversation on the phone he took out a file from his desk drawer and handed it to Jack. Jack looked at for a while and then closed it.

“Call in Agents Vaughn, Weiss, Ashwick, and Sydney. Also call other field rated agents now.” Jack ordered Kendall as he got up from the chair and left the office.

An hour later the debrief room was filled with agents waiting patiently for information on the new mission that they were going on. As soon as Kendall walked into the room two enlarged pictures showed up on a big screen in the middle of the room.

“All of you are going to go to Tokyo, Japan. In Tokyo there is a warehouse where a scientist called; “Gorge Davidson” has transferred this device to.” Kendall explained as he pointed to the two pictures.

One picture was of a warehouse and the other a picture of the device a circular sphere and six triangular spikes.

“Gorge Davidson sent this device to Tokyo, so he could study it in his lab which is in Japan. Rambaldi wrote that if this device fell into the wrong hands it would be the end of innocent people’s lives. He wrote that evil would conquer all that gets in its way, if this happens evil would rule the world and prevail over everyone. That is why all of you are going to Tokyo, Japan, to raid the warehouse and bring the device safely back here. You will raid the warehouse in the night two days before Gorge Davidson gets there. The rest of the information about this mission is in the folders that will be handed to you before you leave this room. You will each be in a group of three. The names of people you will be working with is in the folder.” Kendall informed everyone.

Before all of the agents headed out the door Kendall said one more thing, “God bless all of you and try to come back safely.”

“Sir I don’t believe in god.” A young agent spoke softly.

“Then try to come back safely.” Kendall replied back as he handed him a folder.

The agents got into the vans that drove them all to a plane that was waiting for them. All the things they needed were on the plane ready for them to use. Sydney, Vaughn, and Ashwick sat together on the plane and watched Weiss talk to agents about the mission.

“This might be my last mission with you two.” Ashwick stated sadly.

“Why are you saying that?” Sydney asked kind of shock that Ashwick would say something like that.

“I’m being transferred to Langley.” Ashwick replied back.

“Congratulations Darla.” Sydney said as she hugged her friend.

“Yeah, congratulations Darla. Does Weiss know?” Vaughn said as he looked at Weiss.

“Yes, he knows. We talked about it three days ago over dinner. He already got permission from Kendall to take a couple days off to help me move into my new apartment.” Ashwick spoke softly.

“That’s good.” Sydney spoke.

“I’m going to go sleep so I will have enough energy for the mission.” Ashwick stated as she walked over to where Weiss was now sitting.

Jack was sitting at his desk looking at the file that Kendall had given him earlier about this mission. He wanted to go and he should have, but Kendall said it would be better to stay here. Kendall also had made a comment that they had more than enough agents going on this mission. Jack was uncomfortable and worried about Sydney’s life; he was worried that she was going to get hurt. Jack was thinking about his daughter when a young man came up to him.

“Sir, they reached Tokyo, Japan, and they are now headed for the warehouse.” The young man spoke with a shaky voice.

Jack watched the young man quickly walk away from him before he got up from his desk, and went to Marshall’s office. He picked up a headphone com-unit and put it on then sat in a chair in Marshall’s office.

“Two groups will be stationed at north, south, east, and west side of the warehouse. We have a satellite stationed in that area right now for this mission. I also added tracking devices to each of their com-units and a back up one in their shoes. Since the trackers are small they won’t be able to feel it and it’s also hidden from sight.” Marshall explained quickly to everyone in his office.

“Marshall thank you for coming in right after your wedding reception. I know you were going to leave an hour ago for your honeymoon.” Kendall stated before putting a set of headphones on.

“No problem Sir. I mean Director Kendall.” Marshall replied back.

“This is Eagle eye we are in position.” The first group leader spoke.

“This is Hand glider we are in position.” The second group spoke.

After all eight groups got in position they waited for Jack to tell them to move in.

“Its all clear move in.” Jack ordered as he looked at a computer screen.

The agents moved in ready to protect themselves with loaded guns. The agents moved quietly and cautiously as they turned corners and entered dark rooms.

“Geese there are a lot of crates and boxes.” Several agents comment.

“Carefully start opening all of them.” Jack spoke firmly.

“Copy that.” The leaders of each group said.

“Come on lets get started the sooner we start the sooner we get the device.”
Vaughn said as they walked over to some boxes and crates.

After thirty minutes Sydney, Vaughn, and another agent named Evan had opened all the boxes and crates in the room they were in.

“It’s not here.” Sydney said as she wiped some sweat off her forehead.

“Okay we’ll search a different room then.” Vaughn said as they headed for the
door.

Sydney followed Vaughn out of the room while Evan closely followed Sydney.
They walked down the hall to the last room that had crates and a few boxes.
Mean while outside a black mustang came to a halt beside the warehouse.

“So this is where the device is?” Boris asked.

“Yes, this is where it’s at.” Sark answered as he step out of the car.

“This should be easy.” Zora stated as she got out of the car and stood between both men.

“Kill who ever gets in your way.” Boris commanded.

Back in Los Angeles Marshal was watching the screen when he saw three red dots appear on the screen.

“Jack, some unknown people just arrived.” Marshall pointed at the three red dots.

“Three unknown people just arrived they might be hostile. Keep your eyes and ears open.” Jack quickly spoke into his com-unit.

In the warehouse Vaughn, Sydney and Evan entered the last room and found a maze of boxes and crates stacked in the room.

“Wow.” Evan said to himself as he started to wander away from Sydney and Vaughn.

“We have to be careful especially after what Jack said.” Vaughn said to Sydney and also to Evan who didn’t hear him.

“This way.” Zora said as they entered the warehouse.

“Zora is quite a woman.” Sark spoke to Boris in a whisper as they followed Zora.

“Yes, she is. How did you like working with her on your last mission?” Boris asked with a small smile.

“It was great. She’s pretty smart and she looks good in that… what was it a reddish orange wig.” Sark stated his opinion.

“Will the two of you stop talking?” Zora asked turning around to face the two men.

“Yes, sorry.” The two men answered back.

“Someone was already here. If you two were paying more attention you would have noticed that the boxes and crates were already opened.” Zora spoke with an edge to her tone.

“Do you think they are still here?” Boris asked curiously.

“Probably.” Sark stated as he pulled out his gun.

“Let’s go to the last room at the end of the hall.” Zora said as she started to walk again.
Vaughn and Sydney started to open boxes while Evan walked away looking at all the boxes.

“Vaughn did you find anything yet?” Sydney asked as she opened another crate.

“Nope, how about you?” Vaughn replied back.

“Nothing. I wander if anyone else has found anything.” Sydney stated curiously.

A few second passed and Vaughn finally got word that nobody had found the device yet.

“Wait here and be quiet. I see someone.” Zora whispered at the entrance of the last room.

Zora loaded her hand gun and quietly slipped into the room. She watched as Evan walked around looking dumb founded by all the boxes and crates. As soon as Evan turned the corner and came face to face with Zora she pulled the trigger and watched as blood trickled down his forehead. She then turned around and walked back out of the room to get Boris and Sark.

“Good thing these guns come with silencers. Now come on and make sure you don’t make any noise.” Zora said as soon as she met the two men again.

The two men followed Zora into the room and hid behind a crate at the entrance.

“I’m going to split from you two and go to the other end of the room then I will start looking for the device.” Sark informed the other two people before moving away.
In Los Angeles Jack and Marshall were still looking at the computer screen trying to find the three red dots that used to be outside of the warehouse.

“Out of all the days in a week it has to be a stormy day tonight.” Marshall said as he was pushing keys on the computer keyboard.

“Are all the generators working correctly?” Jack asked an agent who just walked into the room.

“Yes, we got them to work finally. Sorry it took so long.” The agent answered.

“The satellite is a little off, but I can get it back in the right place in a jiffy. It probably moved when we lost connection from the power outage.” Marshall spoke quickly.

“It’s back on track. Okay where are the three red dots now?” Marshall talked to himself.

Jack looked at the screen and pointed at the room where Sydney, Vaughn, and Evan were in.

“There they are. Which of are agents are in that room?” Jack pointed to the screen.

“Let me see I assigned certain numbers to them when I put the tracking devices in their com-units and shoes. The tracking devices have numbers and the back up tracking devices have the same numbers as the other ones. The first one is 10247, which is Vaughn. Second one is 10347, which is Sydney. The last one is 10658 and that is Evan.” Marshall finished speaking.

“Why is Evan standing so close to the red dots and not moving?” Kendall asked as he looked at the screen.

“Sydney and Vaughn listen to me this is Jack speaking to you. The three unknown people are in the same room as you. Do not act suspicious they might be watching you, any sudden moves and they might kill you. Evan is by them and he is not moving away from them. They might have killed him. We have someone trying to contact him and he is not responding. Our satellite connection is cutting out because of the storm we might lose contact with you. Please keep your eyes and ears open, be aware of everything around you. Evan is by the entrance where two unknown people are. The third unknown person is at the opposite side of the room in the back. I am going to inform the others.” Jack informed them quickly.

“Okay, thanks Jack.” Vaughn whispered quietly.

“Jack there is too much interference. They might not hear you.” Kendall stated.

“I do not care. I am going to try to inform them. They have the right to know and if they know they can help the other three agents.” Jack spoke firmly with a cold tone.

“This is Boot camp. There…three…get…try…them…” As Jack spoke to the agents he started to cut out.

“What? We …hear…repeat…” Weiss said into his com-unit, but before he could
finish the CIA lost all contact to them.

“Sorry, but we lost all contact. With the storm going on I can’t even keep the satellite in the right place for very long. I will still try to redirect it to them.” Marshall said frantically as he kept trying to get reconnected with the agents in Japan.
Mean while Sydney and Vaughn slowly got behind a crate for protection as they made sure their guns were loaded.

“Let’s see if Evan is okay. I also believe it would be better for the two of us to stick together.” Vaughn said softly.

“Okay, let’s go.” Sydney replied back.

Vaughn stood up then helped Sydney get up off the floor. Sydney walked behind Vaughn as they walked through a maze of crates and boxes. Sydney looked behind her every other minute to make sure they were not being followed. As the reached the entrance they started to hear voices. One of the voices seemed very familiar to Vaughn, but he didn’t know who it could be. Vaughn and Sydney moved closer and closer to the entrance, but stopped when they saw a hand on the ground. Sydney moved passed Vaughn so she could see who it was. When she saw who it was she almost dropped her gun. Sydney turned around and faced Vaughn with tears in her eyes.

“Who is it Syd?” Vaughn asked as he grabbed her hand.

“I’m sorry…Evan…I…its Evan dead.” Sydney said shocked.

Vaughn looked at Evan and bent down to see if he had a pulse, but of course he didn’t.

“We need to contact Weiss or someone.” Vaughn said.

Sydney tried to contact someone and failed.

“I think there is too much interference for the com-units to work.” Sydney stated.

All of a sudden they heard footsteps behind them. Sydney and Vaughn turned around to see who it was.

“Melissa! What are you… what the hell are you doing here?” Vaughn asked shocked.

“Vaughn it nice to see you too.” Zora said with an evil smirk.

“You know what Vaughn you are really stupid. You never ever realized or at least thought I was in your life to just get information about the CIA from you. I guess when it comes to love you can become deaf, dumb, and blind. Because if I was you I would have realized along time ago that the one I married was not who they said they were.” Zora said with a cold hiss.

Vaughn pushed Sydney back behind a crate as Zora pulled out her gun.

“You and your friend are going to wish that you didn’t come here.” Zora said as she pulled the trigger.

Vaughn dodged the bullet and moved behind the crate. Then he told Sydney to hide. Sydney ran with Vaughn following behind her, but Zora was right behind them. Soon Vaughn and Sydney were in an empty space surrounded by several crates. Sydney looked for a space between the crates and found one she pulled Vaughn with her as she ran toward it. Just as they reached the space between the two crates Zora came into view.

“You can run, but I will find you.” Zora said in a taunting voice.

“Zora love there you are. Oh you found some more people. I know I told you to kill who ever gets in your way, but I didn’t mean play a cat and mouse game.” Boris said with a laugh.

“Sark is looking for the device right now. You can take your time in finishing them off while I watch.” Boris spoke as he leaned against a crate.

Sydney and Vaughn watched as Zora put her finger on the trigger. As soon as Zora pulled the trigger Sydney had stepped in front of Vaughn and pushed Vaughn into the space between the crates. Vaughn watched as Sydney fell to the hard cold floor.

“NOOOOO.” Vaughn screamed out loud.

He stood where he was in shock from seeing Sydney fall to the ground after being shot. He watched her lay on the floor motion less. There was no sign of life; she didn’t even twitch a finger. Vaughn felt the anger growing inside him and before he new it he had stepped out from between the crates. He lifted the gun and fired five bullets into Zora. Zora dropped her gun and slowly moved closer to Boris before falling to the floor in front of his feet. Boris looked down at Zora then back up at Vaughn.

“You stupid idiot. You will pay now for what you did to her.” Boris yelled as pulled his gun out.

He pointed his gun at Vaughn and pulled the trigger nothing happened.

“You shot Zora five times I believe you have a sixth and final bullet left.” Boris said as he realized his gun was jammed and he couldn’t fix it.

Vaughn pulled the trigger on his gun and watched as Boris hit the ground and picked up Zora’s gun.

“You missed me.” Boris laughed.

Vaughn grabbed Sydney’s gun and hid behind a crate right when Boris started to shoot at him. Vaughn fired back at Boris and missed until he came to the last bullet. Boris was occupied with trying to find his extra magazine for the gun when he felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder. Boris dropped his gun as sharp pain shot down his arm. He quickly walked over to Vaughn and grabbed him out from between the crates.

“Now you will feel pain!” Boris yelled.

He lifted his fist and punched Vaughn in the side of the face. Vaughn stumbled backwards, but caught himself before falling over. He quickly moved forward and punched Boris in the mouth. Vaughn was about to punch him again when Boris kicked him in the side, causing Vaughn to gasp for air. Boris punched Vaughn in the stomach and then grabbed a knife from his shoe. He pushed Vaughn against a crate trapping him. Boris lifted the knife to Vaughn’s neck. Vaughn quickly lifted his hand and poked his finger into the bullet wound in Boris left shoulder. This caused Boris to drop his knife and grab his shoulder and stepped back. When he stepped back he end up moving the knife away from Vaughn’s reach. Vaughn ran and tried to get the knife, but Boris kicked him and caused him to fall down beside Sydney. Vaughn looked at Sydney’s life less body as tears came to his eyes.

“I’m so sorry Sydney. I’m sorry that I didn’t protect you Sydney. I’m sorry.” Vaughn said as he ran his hand through her hair.

Vaughn stood up and quickly kicked Boris in the stomach. Boris let out a grunt and then ran forward into Vaughn before Vaughn could move out of the way. Vaughn felt a sharp pain in his side and looked down. Vaughn put his hand around Boris’s knife that was sticking out of him. He could feel warm liquid oozing out around the knife. Before Vaughn could do anything someone hit him in the back of the head knocking him out. The last thing he saw was Sydney laying beside him.
Back in Los Angeles Jack was pacing the room impatiently. He had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach like something horribly wrong happened. He heard Marshall saying something to him and stopped pacing.

“Jack, I redirected the satellite to the right place and we can contact them again.” Marshall said still looking at the screen.

Jack looked at the screen and saw two red dots moving around on the screen and one red dot not moving. Then Jack saw two green dots and noticed that they were still not moving. He waited a few second longer to see if they would move, but they didn’t.

“Weiss, David, and Joe take you team to the last room at the end of the south east hall quickly. Boy scouts team is in trouble they need help. Move now do you hear me?” Jack yelled into his com-unit.

“Yes, we’re moving.” The three leaders said as they started running in the direction that Jack told them to go.

Jack sat down in a chair and held his head in his hands. He new something bad happened, but he didn’t know how badly.

“Boris get out of here now. I’ll find the device by myself. I will call for someone to pick me up. Now leave” Sark spoke comely.

Boris obeyed and didn’t say anything. He turned around and picked up Zora and carried her out of the warehouse and put her in the car. He drove away and only looked back once.
Sark quickly walked over to a crate that he just opened and started to look through the crate. He didn’t find anything so he quickly opened another crate and to his luck he found the device. He quickly ran out of the room and when he was running down the hall he was tackled by Weiss who ended up knocking him out. Another agent hand cuffed him while Weiss ran to the last room with his group and a couple of other agents. Weiss entered the room and immediately saw Evan lying on the floor dead.

“Oh God.” Weiss said as he looked Evan’s body.

“What’s wrong Weiss?” Jack asked.

“Evan’s dead.” Weiss spoke quickly.

“Vaughn, Sydney!” Weiss yelled.

“They are in the middle of the room.” Jack informed Weiss.

Weiss ran as quickly as he could followed by Ashwick. Weiss finally came to a stop and let out a scream.

“Oh God no no no. Someone get a medic now Sydney and Vaughn are hurt! Sydney’s lost a lot of blood. Hurry up and get a medic” Weiss yelled.

When Jack heard this he took off his headphones and walked out of the room.

“Jack. Jack. Jack!” Kendall called after Jack.

Jack ignored Kendall and everyone else around him. He wished Sydney never went on this mission. He wished he had went with them. Jack walked out of the Op Center and got in his car. He pulled out of the parking lot and drove to the park. He stopped his car and broke down crying. Yes, Jack Bristow broke down for the first time in a long time. The man who hid his feelings could not hide them anymore.
Two days later in the hospital Vaughn woke up and found Weiss sitting by him in a chair. Vaughn tried to get up out of bed, but Weiss stopped him.

“Hey dude slow down. You need to take it easy. You are back home in LA. You have fifteen stitches in your side you lost a lot blood. You’re a lucky man to still be here.” Weiss said quickly.

“Why are you here?” Vaughn stated.

“Because I’m your friend and don’t worry I will be leaving next week to visit Darla. By the way we got the device.” Weiss smiled.

“Where’s Sydney? Where is she Eric?” Vaughn asked wanting an answer.

“She’s in the room across from yours. You just have to walk across the hall and you’ll be in her room.” Weiss informed Vaughn.

“I want to see her.” Vaughn said softly.

“Okay you’re going to have to sit in a wheelchair.” Weiss laughed.

“I don’t have two broken legs. I can walk.” Vaughn said as he got out of bed and started to walk to the door.

“Okay fine suit yourself.” Weiss said as he followed Vaughn out of the room.

Weiss stopped outside the door of Sydney room and watched as Jack shook Vaughn’s hand. He watched as Vaughn sat down in Jack’s chair and took Sydney’s hand in his. Jack walked out of the room and told Weiss to give them some privacy.

“Hey.” Sydney said as she looked at Vaughn.

“Hey.” Vaughn said as he kissed her on the lips.

“Your face has a big bruise on it.” Sydney said as she held onto Vaughn’s hand.

“Yeah I got that from Boris when he punched me. I thought I lost you.” Vaughn spoke with a shaky voice.

Sydney helped Vaughn onto her bed so she could be closer to him. They talked for along time and also sat in silence until they fell asleep in each others arms. Jack walked into the room and watched his daughter sleep peacefully with the man she loved. A smile spread across his face before he walked out of the room.
