I guess most people hated the character, because it interfered between S/V ... but acting wise we did NOT get the best out of MG not because of who Lauren was, but because of the writers who wrote around her with many inconsistencies ... thats what made people think MG was not good all ...
I just want her to stay dead pls ... we don't need no resurrection of dead Lauren ...

I didn't hate Lauren because of her interference between S/V. I hated her because she was boring and truly served no purpose. And actually Lauren was consistent until they decided to make her evil. That's when her inconsistency started. So yes, MG was not responsible for writing inconsistency, which did not help her performance. But what is her excuse for the first half of S3 when her character was consistent and her acting was still terrible? Now who knows, maybe this is a simple case of MG simply not being right for the part. Maybe MG could play cute. Maybe she could play bubbley. Tragically she couldn't play smart. Or any complex human emotion for that matter, something the role of Lauren would have required. And she had no chemistry with MV or any of the cast whatsoever.
Turning Lauren evil was a cop out, plain and simple. The writers struggled for the first half of S3 to make us like Lauren. Instead of putting some effort into it like giving Lauren a sense of humor, some intelligence, some compassion, or giving us any redeemable qualties, they made her into an ice queen. She never laughed, never showed any compassion for Syd or her husband (who she was supposed to love), or demonstrated any ability to be able to perform her job compentently. I know that I was not the only one who wondered why Vaughn fell for Lauren. So when the writers realized we were not going to love Lauren as the frigid ice queen they made her evil instead.
And Lauren was a terrible villian as well. Need an example of this? See the ep where after Lauren kills the goth guy at the club. Now if I had just shot murdered somebody in a crowded area, I would hightail my ass out of there. But not Lauren. She goes outside the club, calls Sark, and proceeds to tell Sark in a voice so high pitched only dogs could truly understand her what has occured. For some reason, I don't think jumping up and down, drawing attention to yourself is the wisest course of action. But maybe that is just me. There are many other examples but this post is long enough and I would bore you after awhile.
The truly sad thing is, Lauren had great potential. Had she been executed properly perhaps the character would have worked. It's amazing what some great writing and even better acting can do. Sadly she wasn't and we had to live with the consequences.
The only good thing I can see coming from her returning is if Vaughn somehow recovers from his Lauren issues due to her return. How this could work, I have no idea. But at least then the return would have some purpose.

Yeah, the writers owe us big time for the contrived nature of the character of Lauren as well as just the general nature of Season 3...I mean I love Syd, but they had her do so many dumb things that no spy would ever do last year that it was just becoming unbearable!!!

Tell me about it. I honestly don't know what is worse, the whole Rambaldi fluid will cure anything or cyrogenics (sp?). But I will give the writers some credit. At least they didn't ask us to believe that Lauren somehow survived being shot in the chest 5 x's and falling into some mineshaft. Instead, they are asking us to believe that somehow Sark will resurrect her. On second thought, the whole surviving gunshot wounds and falling down mineshaft is almost as believable. How much you want to bet that Sark will try to resurrect Lauren by using Rambaldi fluid?
Oh I'm not so blind in my hatred of Lauren that I blame Lauren/MG for other characters' assasinations. Every character/actor got a pretty sucky deal from the writers. The difference is that they made the best of it and still turned in amazing performances. I personally don't think MG did.

I still can't get over what they've done to Dixon...I mean I can complain about Jack, Vaughn, Syd and Sark, but did anyone get it worse than Dixon? Talk about destroying a character...sheesh...he was absolutely, and totally irrelevant last year...

Yeah, poor Dixon/Carl Lumbly. A true waste of Lumbly's talent and of Dixon's character. Dixon didn't even resemble the character we had grown to love over two seasons. He was so distant and cold. Dixon of S1 and S2 would have provided Syd a shoulder to cry on not a "sucks to be you" attitude.
Henweb (who runs MG's official site) says he spoke to her manager and that the manager said that MG was in a frozen Lauren shot.

I was under the impression tht JJ was going to work to bring Alias back to what it used to be in season 1 and 2. This whole cryogenic thing is ridiculos. When the sci fi element was simpler (mysterious journals, special clocks) that was one thing. When they became all end of the world destructive c*** and liquid that brings Rimbaldi's consiousness, its stupid. No one buys it. It's too difficult to imagine that Syd's world is, while fictional, based in reality. They need to go back to what worked for the show, a limited, but interesting, sci-fi element.
As far as whether Lauren should come back, DEFINITLY! I loved Lauren and Sark! They should have made her less injured in the finale and recovered normally, like Allison.

How would Sark who is in CIA custody somehow get Lauren's body quickly enough after death to freeze it cryogenically? And if you were Sydney, Vaughn, Jack, etc. and you'd been through all of the endless resurrection stuff, wouldn't you escort that body to the crematorium yourself and throw the match in just to make sure she was really, truly, undeniably, dead? Just where is the Coroner of Munchkinland when you need him?

But I don't really care if she is alive or not! If she's alive I just hope she get a great role in the action! I'm a S/V shipper, and I didn't like Lauren because I didn't understand what was her role. However in the last episode when she said all that stuff to Sydney I realized that after that she would become an interesting character, because she knew lots of stuff!
I think S/V won't be just smiles and kisses, they'll probbaly have same discussions, wich is nice...! I like to see them arguing and after that retaliating!

Having Lauren frozen means that they're leaving the door open for her to come back. It might be interesting if they hadn't already done it repeatedly. Seriously, the she's dead...or is she stuff is getting a little old. I'm in no hurry to see Lauren come back but it would have been a good twist if it was the first time. Apparently, in ALIASland nobody checks for a pulse after they shoot someone. They just leave the body unguarded so that the evildoers du jour can have a go at bringing them back to life.
If there's a God in heaven they'll leave her frozen.
