Lauren deserved to die. And Nadia even thinking that Michael had anything to do with her death is stupid. In fact, Nadia is stupid- she should just go away.

Hey. . . This is a bit of a short update but i still hope you like. .

Falling To Deep.

The corridor which led to Micheal's office seemed to be almost infused with shadows as Sydney silently approached the heavy wooden door.
She took a deep breath and slowly turned the door handle.
"Sydney. . ." Micheal rushed towards her his green eyes wide with confusion.
Sydney looked past him to see what had upset him and saw Lauren lying on the rich burgendy carpet bleeding.
Feeling vaugely sick she approached Lauren and knelt down to check if she had a pulse.
Suddenly without warning Lauren's eyes snapped open and her hand suddenly lashed out clawing wildly at Sydney's face.
"Sydney!" Micheal cried out horrified as he leapt forward and pulled her away from Lauren's claw like grip.
"You. . .You're the one who did this . ." Lauren rasped at Sydney as she writhed in pain.
Sydney who was still clutched tightly in Micheal's grip stared utterly shocked.
Lauren looked like something from one of those horror movies. . . Like some kind of zombie who didnt want to die. .
After rasping incoherantly for another minute Lauren finally collapsed back down a thin trickle of blood flowing from the corner of her mouth.
"Sydney. . Are you okay?" Micheal asked his voice trembling.
Sydney nodded slowly.
It occured to her in a flash that Lauren Reed lay on his carpet seemingly dying but Micheal was more concerned about her than Lauren. . .
She cautiously approached Lauren again and felt for a pulse.
"She's dead." Sydney said softly as she rose to her feet a strange mixture of relief and dread seeping through her. . .
"Syd. . I dont know how this happened. . You believe me. . Right?" he asked her nervously.
Sydney nodded quickly as she came to stand beside him.
"Of course i believe you." she said softly.
How could she not believe him?
She loved him too much to even question his innocense. . .
Micheal's lips twisted into a small smile relieved.
He reached down and unable to help himself he kissed Sydney almost desperately. . .
It didnt even occur to him then that they were literally kissing over Lauren Reed's body. . .

Two days later.

Nadia watched sickened as Sark drove past with a strange looking blonde woman in his car who looked suspiciously like a hooker.
"That guy is sick." Weiss commented as he leaned forward and fed Nadia a honey coated almond.
Nadia smiled returning the sweet gesture.
"Yeah he is. Lauren's been dead for like only a day and already he's . .Uh well it looks like he's moved on." Nadia agreed.
Weiss shook his head almost sadly
"I guess Lauren Reed was hardly capable of inspiring real love in anyone." he said.
Nadia nodded silently agreeing.
It had been two days since Lauren had died and Sydney insisted that Micheal wasnt guilty.
Nadia was hardly inclined to blame the man seeing as her sister seemed to be really in love with him. . .
"I feel like eating apples." Nadia frowned.
A smile was playing on Weiss's lips as he studied Nadia.
"I dont suppose youre. . . " He began insinuatingly.
Nadia laughed.
"Spit it out Mr Weiss!" she giggled.
"Could you be pregnant. . I mean its possible. . .Dont you think?" he asked hopefully.
Nadia looked down a nervous flutter in her belly.
"I dont know. . ." she admitted as beautiful images of having the perfect wedding on the beach filled her mind.
Weiss grinned his spirits uplifted.
"Theres a supermarket down the road that sells fruit. . .I can pick you up some apples." he offered.
"No dont. Its okay really! Weiss. .?" she laughed as he threw her a kiss over his shoulder and walked out.
She watched him go feeling contented not realising that all her dreams would be shattered soon. . .

Sydney stood by the microwave watching as the popcorn bag popped.
Micheal walked into the kitchen and drew her into a long lingering kiss.
"Its cute the way you stand and watch the microwave." he murmured in her ear making her shiver plesantly.
They both walked into the lounge then and sat down on the couch Sydney snuggling in his warm arms.
"I've never got tired of watching this movie." she sighed as Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks appeared on the screen.
Micheal smiled.
"Yeah 'You,ve got Mail' is really touching. Its the only 'Chick Flick' i really ever enjoyed." he admitted and she mock punched him.
They sat for a few moments in a silence watching the movie when Sydney noticed the troubled look on Micheal's face.
"Hey. . .Whats wrong?" she asked softly.
He looked at her guiltily for a moment inwardly debating whether he could burden her with his thoughts.
"Rowena was pregant when she disappeared. . ." Micheal began much to Sydney's surprise.
"It was Sark's child. . .It had to be because Rowena and i were not in the least bit intimate. . ." Micheal looked slightly embarassed as he said this his cheeks blushing.
"And sometimes i wonder. . .What did that innocent child do to deserver a mother like Rowena who commited suicide not even giving the child a chance to be born. . ." Micheal's voice had dropped to a whisper and Sydney reassuringly ran her hand down his shoulder.
"Maybe its better that way. . .After all being born with parents like Sark and Rowena would have been . .Tough to say the least. . . " Sydney sighed.
Micheal pulled her closer struck by how she always seemed to know the right words to say to him. . .
Perhaps because it was destiny and they were meant to be. . .

Please review.

Yes, Nadia's pregnant!!! :smiley: But after your statement, makes me wonder what happens to Weiss?? I hope he doesn't die!! :( Can't wait for the next chapter
 
Great update. Kinda glad Lauren's dead. You better not let anyone hurt Nadia & Weiss tho, they are too adorable together.

If something bad is going to happen to ruin Nadia's happiness. I'm betting something happens to Weiss. The best thing is that he runs out of junk food. The worst is...the obvious- he's done in.

Hey, Great chapter! But, what did they do with Lauren's body, I mean did they notify the authorities? Can't wait for more, Syd and Vaughn are so great together, but eventually she'll have to tell him who she really is. Thanks for the PM!
