INT. ROTUNDA - BRIEFING ROOM - DAY

We pick up Dixon addressing the group...

DIXON
... And one more thing. As you know, the
Covenant may have intercepted CIA
intelligence regarding our mission in
North Korea and our pursuit of the Doleac
Agenda. Langley has assigned a
counterintelligence team to determine
whether someone within the Agency has
been leaking information. Jack will run
point on their investigation inside this
office.

We survey the agent's faces as the news settles. Lauren
accepts the news most evenly of all.

JACK
Marshall, Lauren, I've scheduled you in
the first round of interviews -- you'll
be available later this afternoon?

LAUREN
(no outward sign of concern)
Actually, I'm due in D.C. tonight for an
NSC briefing. But I'll call and tell
them I can't make it.

JACK
That's okay -- as soon as you return,
then. Weiss, you'll go instead.

Weiss nods, okay. Vaughn looks to Lauren. Clearly, this
trip was news to him. But more than that, his face is tinged
with a hint of sadness.

DIXON
Good. Let's get moving...

The meeting is adjourned --

INT. ROTUNDA - DAY

Lauren is first out of the Briefing Room. She quickly
crosses the space. Sydney follows, anxious.

SYDNEY
Lauren -- we need to talk.

LAUREN
(matter of fact)
Everything I needed to say, I've already
said.

SYDNEY
Then here's my turn: the implication that
somehow I've set out to undermine your
marriage is wrong...and unfair. I have
done nothing but respect the relationship
that you and Vaughn have.

Sydney sees VAUGHN AND WEISS on the other side of the
Rotunda, about thirty feet away. (THE REVERSE OF THE MOMENT
WE SAW EARLIER). Sydney and Vaughn lock eyes for the
briefest of seconds. But enough time for Lauren to see this
shared look. As Vaughn continues talking to Weiss:

LAUREN
(coldly)
You were saying?

SYDNEY
Vaughn and I have a history. A
complicated one -- I can't deny that, but
I won't apologize for it either.
(calmly)
If your marriage is in trouble -- if you
and Vaughn are having problems, I suggest
you leave me out of it. And take it up
with your husband.

With that, Sydney walks off. With spite in her eyes, Lauren
watches her go, then turns and walks off herself into...

INT. ROTUNDA - ALCOVE - DAY

... Lauren pulls out her cell phone and dials. Quietly:

LAUREN
You ready for our first taste of senior
management?

INT. ND SPACE - DAY

Sark on the line, already intrigued. INTERCUT AS NECESSARY:

SARK
You're so ambitious, I love it.

--------------------------------------------

INT. BLACK MUSTANG - VANCOUVER - DAY

The rear windshield of the Mustang being BLOWN OUT by the
gunfire coming from the encroaching F-150 -- Sark gets nicked
by the passing bullet --

LAUREN
-- They're behind us --

SARK
-- yes, thank you, I see them --

Lauren braces herself as Sark pulls the Mustang hard right
into another row --

INT. DATA STASH, INC. - PARKING STRUCTURE - VANCOUVER - DAY

The F-150 turns into a parallel row -- coming almost side-by
side with the Mustang now...

OMITTED

INT. DATA STASH, INC. - PARKING STRUCTURE - VANCOUVER - DAY

Suddenly a car pulls out in front of Vaughn and Sydney --
slowing them down. Sark seizes the opportunity to pull away.
As the Mustang slides around a corner...

ANGLE ON three levels of the parking structure, each pitched
at alternating angles. The Mustang and the F-150 coming at
each other on opposing down ramps...

INT. DATA STASH, INC. - PARKING STRUCTURE - GROUND LEVEL -
VANCOUVER - DAY

The Mustang races to the exit -- The F-150 in hot pursuit --

INT. BLACK MUSTANG - VANCOUVER - DAY

Looking from the inside out, like a passenger in the
backseat, we watch as the Mustang flies through the narrow
exit lane -- squeezing between the oncoming cross-traffic --
leaving the sounds of a METALLIC WRECKAGE in its wake.

EXT. STREET - VANCOUVER - DAY

The Mustang blasts down the street and tears around the first
corner...

INT. BLACK MUSTANG - VANCOUVER - DAY

Lauren's pumped full of adrenaline, seemingly excited from
the close call.

LAUREN
Stop the car!

SARK
I'm fine. It's just a nick. I've done
worse while shaving.

LAUREN
Pull in here -- stop the car now.

Sark pulls the car into a side alley. When the car comes to
a stop -- Lauren pounces on Sark, kissing him wildly. He's
caught off guard at first, but quickly reciprocates...
Lauren begins unbuttoning his shirt... and it's getting hot
and heavy. Sark reaches down to find the lever that reclines
his seat. He pulls it, and as they fall out of frame, we
HARD CUT TO --

INT. HOTEL ROOM - VANCOUVER - DAY

-- Sark and Lauren fall back into frame onto the bed. They
roll on top of each other, kissing furiously. And as they
tear clothes off, revealing a passionate side neither one
knew the other had, we...

SMASH TO BLACK.

Thanks for the information.

I am glad Sydney tell Lauren like it is. I was hoping Lauren wouldn't get the last word.
Ha! I wasn't thinking the exact same thing as I was reading the script....please just walk away, please just walk away....

Thanks...DD...
I don't think I like the whole Lark thing very much. I mean...Sark with someone else... (y) Sark with the evil b***h from hell...ewwww
Besides, I really don't see why they're together. They're just having sex for no reason. It's pretty meaningless. I wish Sark found someone better... -_-
