Politics Should Pornography be legal?

I dont think is should be illegal, sure its disgusting to some but to others it's not. Everyone should have a choice in what they want to watch. Censorship is never a good route to go in.

I do not think pornography should be legal, because it were legal, there would be more porn than there is now, and children who surf the internet (like me) will get more exposure to it, and that's bad...and not everybody has one of those firewalls.

Before reading those studies on how pornography increases sexual violence, I would have agreed with you. I'm not a big fan of censorship (just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist). But those studies scare me, especially considering the fact that every 13 seconds in the US, a female is being assaulted by a male partner.

However, those studies do show that viewing hardcore porn is much more likely than viewing soft porn (such a Playboy) to increase sexual violence. The only significant effects of soft porn found in the studies that I read are that people who look at soft porn are then less likely to rate their own mates are extremely attractive.

it already is legal, except for sick stuff like kiddie porn or snuff films, so what do you mena by "there would be more"

the one thing i hate is that in class all the guys are like drooling over the stuff!!! it's really nasty!!! i'd hate 4 my bf to bee lookin at the stuff!! LOL!!
well at least wen they grow older they ain't gonna be all horny cus they've got it over and dun with, with the porn!! but then agen... they might just become sex crazy!! LOL!!

As with any vice moderation and maturity are key. If you can't not drink with out getting into a car, a fight, or being an ass, then you shouldn't drink. I see pornography the same way. If you can't watch it with out keeping in mind that women (and men for that matter) are much more then bedroom accoutrement, there for only your using, then you shouldn't view pornography.

I also think that there are very few things in this world that should be censored, and consenting adults having sex on film is not one of those things.

I just see no reason to demonize sex between 2 (or more) consenting adults. For those that hate porn I say throw your energies behind getting rid of illegal porn and leave the normal (well not exactly normal, but you get what I mean) legal stuff alone.
