Yeah, I agree, I think the best is yet to come from the rest of the cast. But yeah, I agree, I think Jennifer should have gotten nominated even for Season 4...I mean, you're right, hello...did anyone see Nocturne??? Or Tuesday??? She totally delivered last season, and thats what drives me nuts.

Hopefully, she'll get nominated for Season 5....

It's funny I just mentionned "Nocturne" too a few posts earlier. I love that episode, she certainly deserved a nomination for that episode. I am in the middle of watching season 4 DVDs and so far it is my favorite episode of that season.

I agree that Jennifer should have been nominated for Nocturne and Tuesday. She received an Emmy nomination for season 4, so why not Golden Globe and SAG? If they were basing it on season 5 I can understand. Not becaue I don't think she's doing a great job, I just don't think she has been given the right material. It goes with that saying that an actor is only as good as their script.

Hugh Laurie got nominated too. :P

Hugh's gonna :whip: Kiefer's ... butt. :P

Like Jen, Kiefer alrady one SAG so i dont care if he'll take this time or not...i just glad that he's got to be nominated this year.

Like you all said Syd Bristow is a hero and we are the fans love her and think she's a great character, those award events are not proofing anything...

I'm triple disapointed with Golden Globes and SAG Awards. The two series I must love that is Alias and CSI wasn't nominee. And Jen didn't too. Nor any other actor as Garber or Ron. This is an absurd!!!!!!!!

When will Jen come back to Alias????

And that thing about Ben forgetting his wallet home can or cannot be true but it's very funny! That means that he's helping Jen taking care of the little Violet.

I always figured that Ben would help Jen take care of the baby. When he first became famous, he often talked how it's hard to be a good man, to find the right middle ground between macho and wimp. Ben is usually great with his women while things are going great, he is affectionate (that's obvious from pics), it's when things start going wrong in the couple that he screw things up, not being honest with them and himself, being afraid of hurting them, not being able to say "I want out", these sorts of things.

When I think of how Jen & Ben's relationship started I think about a womanizing, smoking, drinking man, Ben Affleck, who met gorgeous and good girl Jennifer Garner and after being friends they fell in love and Jen changed him. For the better of course.

I think it's such a cute and great true love story. :angelic:

Ben stopped drinking back in 2001, long before Jen came along into his life. Jen might be a good girl but she was not a virgin when she met Ben, was she? She had had a few failed relationships too. Before Jen, Ben had 3 main relationships: Cheyenne, his pre-fame girlfriend, Princess Paltrow and JLow, and a couple of flings, nothing out of the ordinary for a guy in his early thirties.
Smoking doesn't make a person "bad", it's not amoral or anything, neither is gambling. Gambling was his way of getting of the house and saying to JLow "I want out", and then it became a way of dealing with the break-up.

I did not say Jennifer was a virgin, did I? I didn't say Ben was a bad person either.
But the media made Ben just like I said, I can't know if he was like that, but that's how the media made us think he was. So I was just saying what I think about when I think of how it all started. I don't accuse Ben of anything.

The media often exaggerate things to make them more interesting, like "Jen was Ben's saviour".
I have always said that Jen brought out the best in Ben. She is the best thing which happened to him, I agree on that.

Ben went to rehab in 2001 but he didn't quit drinking as was witnessed by many after he began his relationship with Jennifer.

Smoking and gambling are certainly not amoral, nor drinking for that matter. But I do have to disagree gambling was a way for him to say to J-Lo, "I want out." No one knows but those two what the ultimate cause was that ended their relationship.

Ben started gambling in a big way in summer 2003, when the relationship with JLow started to go wrong, or just got worse. Her nagging drove him out of the house.
Which "many witnesses" saw Ben drink after he began his relationship with Jennifer, bu "Jennifer" I guess you mean Jennifer Garner. The brother's cousin's mother's neighbour to the hotel room maid? Tabloids? Those bastions of reliabitlity and accuracy.
This said, if he is able to drink in moderation like most people do, then it's okay and normal. I hope it will stay this way.

For one, you got that info from some website where someone said they think that Ben kept drinking beyond his rehab. Their own personal opinion of course. That was a person who said that she knew stuff from "her significant other" that worked on the lot. Funny thats also how negative gossip, and things get exaggerated more often then not. And that person was wrong in the past, hated on Jen, hated on Ben and just basically HATED I believe Ken Olin. Yeah, I've seen that and its not really that trustable. I definitely wouldn't state something read at that place as fact. Plus thats really the only place someone suggested Ben maybe was still drinking, that or the tabloids. Drinking ain't no crime, even after rehab, if he's not drinking excessively. And from all accounts Ben hasn't been a walking drunk. He sounds sober, he acts sober, and Jen wouldn't allow him to have a reoccurance of his lifestyle he had before.

Hey I would say that media exposure hurt the relationship, but honestly it really doesn't matter. Ben is with Jennifer Garner now. And I as a Ben Affleck fan am sure glad he is.

Oh and gambling? Yeah that goes back to the excessive part. And Ben wasn't always at a casino, no more than Tobey McGuire, Jennifer Tilly, Edward Norton, etc. were. I go up to Idaho and get scratch tickets, I go to Vegas when I can. Gambling is fine in moderation. And Poker is fine as well. RJ went through her spanish classes playing it.
