Ben started gambling in a big way in summer 2003, when the relationship with JLow started to go wrong, or just got worse. Her nagging drove him out of the house.Which "many witnesses" saw Ben drink after he began his relationship with Jennifer, bu "Jennifer" I guess you mean Jennifer Garner. The brother's cousin's mother's neighbour to the hotel room maid? Tabloids? Those bastions of reliabitlity and accuracy.
This said, if he is able to drink in moderation like most people do, then it's okay and normal. I hope it will stay this way.

No one knows if she was nagging him...was that reported in a tab which you are calling the bastion of reliability and accuracy? And unless you or anyone else were a fly on the wall in their home, no one knows what went on behind the closed doors of their home.

Ben was seen drinking and playing poker at JG's Elektra premiere and I didn't read that in a tabloid...read it in a live journal entry by someone who attended the premiere and is also a fan of the Afflecks. Plus, in many paparrazi photos of them grocery shopping, beer was in the cart. And in no one way am I saying that is a bad thing...I'm merely stating that he never quit drinking.

For one, you got that info from some website where someone said they think that Ben kept drinking beyond his rehab.

First, I'm delighted you think you know where I got my info from. Secondly, I think my post above tells you where I deduced Ben was/is/isn't or whatever, drinking and, thirdly, I have no idea what site you're speaking of.

Also in the Entertainment Weekly there was a mention of some In Style wedding special that airs on ABC on January 30th, it had Jen and Ben in the ad. Along with the likes of Heidi and Seal, Jesse James and Sandra Bullock, and Ashton and Demi.

I don't copy Live Journal posts and since it has been many months ago since I saw it, that particular post will be impossible to find. I also saw it in a tabloid but saw the LJ post first...in fact...the next day after the premiere. So, if his drinking and playing poker was reported by a tab (journalists were there along with the fans) and I saw it in a fan's post, then it is probably pretty much fact. And, seriously, why does it really matter? I'm not accusing him of a crime...just stating that he did not quit drinking after rehab as many would want others to believe. And I will respectfully end this conversation by stating that I doubt seriously he has evolved into "Saint Ben" especially being in the industry he is in. At this point in time, he and Jennifer are still newlyweds with an infant daughter and have yet to settle into a normal everyday life where both are working and experiencing the stress of parenthood, jobs, and life in general. Nothing in life is guaranteed for any couple especially in Hollywood.

I'd also suggest avoiding phrases like "hmmm" in a debate. It just makes you sound condescending, which makes people overlook your point out of rage. Also? Well done, katyray. That's how a debate should be done: respectfully and not personally.

I'm seriously considering closing this thread and starting #5. These last few pages have been suckola from people on both sides of the fandom fence.

I don't know what the law says in america but over here there's something called like maternity leave and a woman HAS TO (by law) stay home for at least 8 weeks together with the baby... After that you have parental leave that is either 6 months full time or one year part-time. ^_^

So February could work in that case... unless laws are different in US and that I don't know

It also depends on HOW much she works. I wonder (though doubt) that JJ will use her again as a full ass kicking spy again... hmm... dunno I'll just be surprised I guess but considering it's Jen we're talking about LOL :lol: We know she'll be back soon

In the US you are guaranteed 6 weeks, but you don't have to take it if you don't want to.

I know that Canadian teachers are guarenteed a year if they want it. I'm pretty sure most jobs (that have a union anyways) can guarentee a year if you want it, but you dont' have to take that either.

No, I'm pretty sure they've already finished filming SOS (ep 10) and ep 11 they can just fake it with a stomach for half an episode or something.
