Sydney Bristow was now a single mother, living with her 6 years old daughter in one of the suburbs of New York City. She worked as a literature teacher at a College nearby where they lived. They lived a happy life so far. Charlie had grown to a very charming girl that looked just like her father. She had dirty blond long hair with sparkling green eyes, just the spitting image of a certain Michael Vaughn. She was not only pretty but also smart. Despite her age, she was already able to read, to write and do many other things, children her age wouldn’t.
Her mother was sometimes very busy going to different kind of meetings and seminars, leaving Charlie with her grandfather Jack Bristow. The first thought that came to Mr. Bristow that he found out about his daughter’s pregnancy was “I’m going to kill that son of a b*****”. Especially when he knew that Michael Vaughn had run away leaving Sydney alone to raise their child. Commitment was a word unknown by the young man.
Once Jack Bristow held his tiny granddaughter in his arms, he knew he would do anything to make her happy. It reminded him so much of his own daughter. Unfortunately when his wife died he locked himself away in his own world and missed the pleasure of seeing his daughter grow to a beautiful young lady. Now was the time for him to make up for it by taking care of Sydney’s daughter whenever he could.
“Hey dad” Sydney greeted her father, coming to pick up Charlie.
“Hi Syd!” he gave her a large hug.
“Where’s my daughter?” Sydney couldn’t wait to see her again.
“She’s upstairs in her room”. Charlie even had her own room at her grandfather’s place. The child was one of the happiest children on Earth, although there was own part missing in her life.
“Hey mummy!” The girl jumped up, running towards Sydney and kissed her desperately. She scooped her daughter into her arms and walked back downstairs.
“Thanks dad”. They said their good nights and drove back home.

Both were in the bathroom, getting ready to go to bed. They needed a long night’s sleep and it was already late, very late even for Charlie.
“So what do you want for Christmas? Is there anything you really want to have?” Sydney was leaning over the sink, getting her teeth brushed.
“Yes. I want daddy to come home for Christmas, mummy” Sydney almost choked on the water while rinsing her mouth. Charlie’s arms went around her neck “Please, can you ask him for once to forget about his job and come home?”
“Charlotte Louise” ooh that didn’t sound very good Charlie thought. Whenever her mother used her whole maiden name it wasn’t a good sign “You know how hard your daddy is working? Do you really think he has the time to come to America?” she didn’t want to be that harsh and it broke her heart seeing how sad she made her daughter feel.
“But mummy, it’s Christmas, please! All the other daddies are going to be home too! I want daddy to come home!” Charlie begged.
Sydney lifted her daughter up and tucked her in her bed. “Ok angel, I’ll see what I can do but I’m not going to promise that he’ll be here… so don’t get too excited about it, ok”
“Yay” Charlie was ecstatic. This would be the most wonderful Christmas ever. She had already everything planned out.
“Ok?” she wanted to make it clear to her daughter that he might not turn up.
“Ok!”
“Now go to sleep, sweetie” She kissed her daughter goodnight and left her room.

Syd, it would've been better if you had just told her right from the beginning that Daddy was out of their lives. Charlie's in for a world of hurt when she knows the truth, that Daddy didn't love her mother and her enough to be there for them.
Sydney should have just told Charlie that her daddy did not know he had a family or where they lived. Then she should not have had the birthday and Christmas cards from "Daddy" over the years.
So, Jack Bristow lives close to them, too. He can make up for some of what he deprived Sydney of as a child.
Jeez I love you guys... you rock my socks... ok... Remember that I overtook this story line from a german movie... I would have handled it differently too... -_-
Not very smart... but I'm just writing the story it was written LOL In some point I found it cute nonetheless, despite the weird moments LOL...
I even changed the ending!!!!!!!!!!!! 'cause that one sucked in the german movie... I better not tell the way it ended -_-
