Falling To Deep.
Concentrating was fast becoming a very difficult task for Micheal Vaughn.
His almost insanely desperate need to get to Sydney before she left for L.A was making infact just about any task hard to handle.
Not to mention that getting to an airport in Central New York at peak hour traffic was not just hard. . .But impossible.
Micheal slammed on the breaks of his car as a white Ford cut in front of him.
Scowling, Micheal tried to edge past the man but he stayed stubbornly in the same lane refusing to budge an inch.
Another car tried to creep up behind him and Micheal rolled his window down, and muttered a few choice words which clearly made the driver behind him stop in his tracks.
Irritably, Micheal waited for the robot to turn green.
Thats when he realised something.
The robot was broken.
"Blow this all!" he cursed as he threw open his door and began to run between the cars.
A few people honked their horns in protest and a few more of the ruder people actually shouted obseneties at him as he ducked past their cars.
He ignored all of it though as he glanced down at his Rolex.
The plane was suppose to take off at six thirty pm.
It was almost six fifteen.
Worried, he increased his pace now almost to the point where he was running.
He wasnt sure how he made it. .
Wasnt sure how it was possible to run on foot half way across town but somehow he made it.
Panting he ran the last few steps to the main terminal.
"Tell me. . Where is the plane bound for L.A leaving from?"
he asked as he heavily leaned on the counter.
The neatly attired man who stood behind the counter started peering at his computer for what seemed like hours to Micheal.
It took all his restraint to not pull out his hair as he was forced to wait patiently.
The man eventually looked up a frown on his face.
"Sir that plane has already left. Twenty minutes ago."
"What?!" Micheal nearly screamed out.
Shrugging the man just indicated to the computer monitor.
"It says so here." he said in a bland voice.
Micheal slowly backed away from the counter his shoulders slumped in defeat.
He couldnt believe it. .
After everything . She was gone.
And he as usual he was all alone and miserable.
Feeling sorry for himself, Micheal began to wonder around the wide empty airport his footsteps echoing dully behind him.
"I really didnt think you would come. . . " a voice spoke.
Micheal whipped around his eyes wide.
Sydney sat alone on the bench just outside the gate to her missed flight.
"Sydney!" he cried out as the joy and relief coursed through him.
He ran forward to her just as she stood up a small smile on her face.
He swept her up into his arms lifting her off the ground.
"Sydney. . .Im so glad you didnt go. . ." he whispered his voice hoarse with emotion.
She pulled back slightly and he was touched to see her eyes were shining with tears.
"I couldnt. . .I just coulnt leave without saying goodbye. . .One last time even." she whispered.
He embraced her tightly never wanting to let go.
"Sydney. . Im so sorry. . . I dont care what you came to me first for. . .
All that matters is that i love you too much. . To ever let you go now." he whispered his voice cracking.
His eyes fell on her slim hand. .
And inevitably he felt tears fill his eyes.
She was still wearing his ring.
He had just been so afraid. . So scared that she would have pulled it off the moment they broke up.
"Micheal. . Im sorry. . I love you. . ." she whispered.
He gently caressed her back trying to soothe her quiet sobs.
"Dont. . Dont feel like that. ." he said softly.
"As long as we're together. . .
Nothing matters anymore."
She sighed deeply, revelling in his gently touch, and his wonderfully calming voice.
After an eternity which just felt like seconds to them Sydney and Micheal reluctantly stepped back.
"Please come back with me. . ." Micheal pleaded staring deeply into her eyes.
He wasnt sure if he could manage another night without her.
Sydney nodded a sweet smile on her lips.
"Can . .I just go to the restroom and just wash up?" she laughed embarrassed as she knew her mascara and eye make up would be running.
Micheal smiled warmly at her.
"Sure. . I'll call my driver to come to pick us up." Micheal said embarassed as he realised he'd dumped his car on the highway in his haste to get to her.
Sydney couldnt believe it. .
Had he actually walked Here?
She stared at his clothes and much to her amazement she realised they were messed. . .And rumpled.
On impulse she leaned forward and kissed him sweetly.
"I love you. . ." she whispered sincerely and then turned around to go to the restroom.
Micheal just stood there watching her, content and still dizzy from the feel of her lips on his.

It was dark when Nadia Santos's eyes snapped open.
She stared around herself wildly fear rapidly filling her as she struggled to sit up.
Her shoulders slumped in relief as she realised she was in a hospital room.
Her memories of Sydney and Micheal rescuing her Flooded through her mind and Nadia winced in embarassment.
How could she have tried to commit suicide?
How could she have let that son of a bitch Sark get to her so much. .
He had raped her and she had been weak. . .But broken?
'No. . .No way would i let anyone break me like that. . .' Nadia thought her jaw clenched.
She reached up and ripped the IV tube from her face.
Ignoring the stinging pain between her legs, Nadia swung herself of the bed and slowly approached the door.
She peeped out and much to her relief the corridor was empty.
She stealthily walked down past her room and continuing until she came to the end of the corridor.
She stopped outside the room on which the door read:
'Weiss'
when she opened the door and saw him for the first time in so many awful days she felt herself struck with emotion.
He looked. . .So peaceful. . .
So himself.
Nadia crept up to the bed and as gently as possible hoisted herself up.
She gently soothed the stubborn hair away from his face and then kissed his forehead softly.
Leaning down she curled up next to him, her arm around his waist.
She shut her eyes suddenly feeling strangely at peace. .
Almost as if maybe the world could be alright again. .
One fine day.
Nadia Santos Felt like she had just come home. . .

Sydney hummed under her breath as she reapplied her make up.
She was still trying to come to terms with the way Micheal had forgiven her. .
'What we have. . .Must really be true love.' she thought giddily.
Still lost in her happy thoughts, She snapped her powder compact close when suddenly a voice spoke up.
"Making yourself look prettier for him darling? Trust me. . .You really shouldnt bother." an angry female voice snarled.
Sydney spun around. . And gasped in shock as she saw a very much alive Rowena Storms . .
